Great atmosphere. Feels like an old-school fight night. Scrappy opener. Wood switches to southpaw halfway through the round. Nice jab to the body from Wood. The bodywork will be key. Felt Warrington nicked it with his aggression.

Warrington had a grimace there after a decent left from Wood, and pretty much instantly head-charged Wood's body. It would just have taken Wood to dip for a body shot and we'd have a bad head clash.

 

It’s flat and circular.

Wood looks massive in there and a lot bigger than Warrington. He is putting his shots together and I like his straight shots to the body to slow Warrington down and stop him from coming forward.

 

Wood looks too big for him and Warrington can’t punch his way out of a wet paper bag.

If the rounds slip away or Warrington is getting caught you can tell he is going to start using his Space Raider shaped head to good effect.

Man imagine if Warrington didn’t have cushions for fists. Wood would be in huge trouble.

29-28 Warrington

Warrington has started the fight aggressively and unleashed a lot of shots as he backs Wood to the ropes. He misses with a lot of them though, not many landed at all. Warrington is a really dirty fighter holding and punching, and stepping in head-first. The pressure of Warrington is troubling Wood. He wants to establish his jab so needs to land something solid first to stop Warrington moving forward easily.
