    I DETEST these ******* officials!!!
Takes an unwarranted point off. This in my opinion annoyed Warrington enough that he really went after Lee instead of blitzing and moving the way he was doing for the rest of the fight… He gets caught badly but he got up pretty quick and the bell had went so he heads to his corner and turns to see this dip**** waving the fight off… Starts arguing as soon as he realized this dip**** just ****ed him but it’s too late…
To not give him a minutes rest was absolute horse****…
Fast Eddie and the crowd getting the result they wanted was just a nice coincidence.
And as for that blow hard Bellow, he would have been moaning like **** if it had happened to him. He would be screaming fighters should be allowed to go out on their shields!!! Just another boxing hypocrite…

That could've been an even better British domestic dust up, perhaps even a classic, but the ref robbed us of that opportunity. Fair enough if there was still more time in the round but the bell had rung and Warrington was dominating and is as tough as nails. He was all at sea after the first right hand but it took four more flush shots in quick succession to put him over. That's how tough he is. Give him 60 seconds to recover. He's British for goodness sake

A minute is a long time to recover, especially with his conditioning. Good chance he would’ve been stopped after but since he was winning 5-1 they should have gave him a shot. If the roles were reversed I’d bet Wood would have been given the minute.

    No doubt on that statement—100%
Josh should of stayed put and not walked and zig zag away from ref

Wood was down bad on all three cards. Each one only gave him round 2.

I'm never counting this dude out of a fight again. Warrington should have been given his minute to rest in my opinion, but just the fact that Wood was able to knock him down so hard when he was being beaten so badly himself is amazing. It's not like he was just losing on points either; this guy looked ready to go down at several points, and yet he was able to come back and put Warrington down.

Curious to see how his chin and power will hold up at 130. If it was anyone else I'd be skeptical he could have much success, but it's hard to count Wood out after what we've seen him come back from.

That said, of the champions, I'd prolly only feel sure backing him against Garcia. Foster's pretty damn good defensively so I could see him cancelling out Wood like he did Vargas, and he lets himself get hit clean an awful lot, something Cordina and Navarette would make him pay dearly for.

And I know it's been discussed to death and doesn't matter anymore, but tonight is just further proof his corner should've held onto the towel against Lara

I agree. Given that the round was over he shoulda been given the minute to recover. I did not realize the round was over. Bad stoppage then.

Yeah, there's nothing stopping the ref from checking a fighter before the start of the next round either

That's the main reason I was annoyed to begin with, the shot that put Warrington down was at the bell itself, had it been a half second later it would've been an illegal shot. Then after the bell sounded, Josh hopped right back up, and walked to his corner. Looking to rest for a minute, and the scumbag ref walks up behind him and stops it. Sure, that's not a great idea, but it's not a must, the ref can use his discretion, and his judgement today was pisspoor. As was the decision to dock Josh a point, which pissed him off and made him hyper aggressive to begin with. So the ref's grubby little biased paws are all over this BS outcome.

It all happened so quickly and against the run of play that I had absolutely no idea the bell had rung. Warrington was hurt and on unsteady legs no doubt but he's super tough - he lasted like at least four rounds with a perforated eardrum against the huge punching Lara eating tons of bombs even though he did not have his legs beneath him - and he was completely dominating the fight, and for a proven warrior as tough as he is he could've recovered during the 60 second interval and Wood is not exactly iron-chinned himself.

Jeezo, just watched the highlights, and whilst it was a great turnaround by Wood, there was only like 1 or 2 seconds in the round when JW went down - the bell rang pretty much when he hit the canvas, and think him and his corner should have been given a chance to be 'saved by the bell'

But then again, Warrinton and his corner didn't seem to contest it, so maybe being harsh on the ref
