Firstly what a great main, as predicted Warrington being up on the cards but would get stopped by a bigger and hard hitting Wood. Unfortunately I don’t see it ending well for Wood he takes far too much punishment.

Matchroom are doing what the WCW did in the 90s recycling old fighters who have already peaked

I'd b worried a non punching feather rocked him numerous times and bullied him in clinches. Moving up in weight against bigger guys Woods in trouble. Cordina will b licking his lips at the payday should he win his next fight.

Leigh Wood will vacate the WBA World title and move up to 130. Ray Ford against Kholmatov will be ordered for the vacant title. Ford is a Matchroom fighter. I reckon that could land on the Haney vs Prograis undercard.

Wood's defence was poor but he took all of Warrington's big punches and was never visibly in serious troubke.
Don't mind that as long as they are entertaining fights. We have seen Warrington vs Lara twice, Wood vs Lara twice, Wood vs Conlan and Wood vs Warrington.

I don't mind the "recycling like WCW" point at all. It means other promoters might bring fighters through and then compete for their career later on; ultimately the punters can't lose.

Just seen latest from Hearn questioning the ref/early stoppage. (Not that he’d be that bothered if it was other way round)

Warringtons corner were on the ring apron before the ref stopped it, does anyone know it that is a DQ or have I imagined that rule ?

It’s supposed to be but don’t think they’re massively strict on it.

The round had ended so they are entitled to be on the ring apron.

Sandy Ryan was cheated in the worst way the other week, but the result last night between Harper and Braekhus was allright. Hearn had Harper to win clearly by 7 or 8 rounds...? I find that difficult to see.

When the Matchroom mouthpieces don't even pretend to care about the fight, let alone pick the winner, you know Hearn's just stung that a promotion hasn't gone his way.

    Let's run it back!

He was gone and had his back to the ref holding onto the ropes iirc. Could’ve given him the minute but could say the same for Joyce the other week, which was also a fair stoppage.
