The start time will be to accommodate U.S TV...stating the obvious. I like it when Tim's fights are on U.S TV.
Listening to one of Tim Tszyu's latest interviews, he says he doesn't plan on remaining at junior middle much longer. Says once he's done what he planned to do in that division he will move up and I'd say unification is that goal and once it's achieved up he goes.
The Big Doodles are Timmy's goal. That means Charlo, Spence & Bud Crawford. To get to Crawford, he will need a win over one or both of Charlo &/or Spence. Fighting & beating a Big Doodle is something King Kostya never did. For various reasons, Kostya never faced the Big Doodles of his era - Oscar, Sugar Shane & Pretty Boy Floyd (as he then was). Timmy either gets the Big Doodles next year or he doesn't in which case we're probably looking at the likes of Charles Conwell, Erickson Lubin & Jesus Ramos as the best available opposition. Either way, when next year is done it's time to move up in weight (which was another thing that Kostya never did along with winning a WBO world title). First things first though. Let's see how Tim handles Brian Mendoza this weekend. Start looking too far ahead & we know what happens.
Akermanis soft exited SAS in the first episode. “I don’t need to come on a course like this to prove anything to anyone else.” Aka, you just did prove something to everybody else
I rewatched the England - Fleming fight. It was pretty clear the intention was to rob England, even though it was close. The referee allowed Fleming to hit England purposely after the bell. *bell rings - Fleming hits England. Fleming then hits England too more times. Fleming then says "I didn't hear the bell immediately". Then the announcers immediately make excuses for Fleming* I noticed the referee subtly gave Fleming extra rest time under the guise of something else at least two times, maybe three. Fleming would go on to self fund his title elimintor with Charley Suarez. I imagine the refs and judges were aware of the extra funding and tilted toward Fleming for that reason.
Midnite Prowler got ringside seats the *******!!!! He just got em so he can perve at the No Limit Ring girls
I've seen Tim in sparring against one of our super middles, who's fought as heavy as cruiser. It was about 5 years ago too. Not recently. Let's just say the sparring got cut short, because Tim was pretty sharp that day. Weight wise I'd say he was at about 76kg. Junior middle is probably becoming a harder and harder weight cut.
Yeah true. And that's awesome of Tim. He's about 5 levels higher now too than what he was 5 years ago. And as for the weight. He said it himself. He comes in about 80kgs. Gains like 10kg from after weigh in to the time he walks into the ring.
If I wasn't such a big fan of Tim I might be inclined to take that action Mendoza is legit and will be coming to win. I still think ultimately our man will have too much for him.
