The version of Joshua you're describing doesn't exist anymore. He now languishes fearfully behind a high guard terrified to commit to offense. Jab is a weak range finder, won't let the right hand go against a moving target. He was being out jabbed and out positioned for large stretches by a 40 year old Helenius. Let that sink in. An opponent so poor that Eddie Hearn was getting ridiculed for picking such a weak stay busy fight. Hrgovic has the quicker hands, superior mobility, better engine, more confidence and at this point much better jab. Joshua might be quicker in combination but he doesn't do that anymore either.

Could be a good matchup this. Joshua certainly has more chance against Hrgovic than against Wilder and there could be a belt on the line too.

Joshua-Wilder looking less and less likely to ever happen.

The Hrgovic you described doesn't exist either. His jab is non existent, he uses his lead hand to set up his right hand by manipulating his opponents guard but doesn't have much of a traditional jab at all. His movement is far worse than Joshua's. Joshua isn't a natural mover and all too often forgets and ends up being stationary but he looks like Ali compared to Hrgovic in regards to movement who spends most of the fight right in front of his opponents.

It's funny he thinks he can just steal the IBF title, Usyk/Fury winner might not want to give it up so easily

Unless Fury-Usyk is a total blow out, one would suspect the loser will play the rematch card and according to the IBF that will automatically free up the IBF belt.

Ugly fraud thinks he can get slapped by midgets every 12 months then just buy belts and claim he is a 2, 3, 4 time champion like it has any value to be proud of. Dumb useless bodybuilder.

I think Hrgovic takes it due to chin and work load, Joshua is getting overheated and collapses mid rounds due to empty gas tank without any pockets of opportunities to recover.

IF hrgovic does that trick of getting tagged and looking bored or disinterested I think Joshua might jump on him.
I think it's a close fight hrgovic is a big guy with some power and durability but he only just scraped by Zhang (which doesn't look so bad a result in standing up his power for 12) but there were moments he switched off and made mistake and I think the top fighters in the division make more of those lapses.

Joshua we all know. He's not the 2nd coming of Lennox Lewis and he's come easy to hit. But he's technically decent and when he puts his shots together does have some power and combination punching ability.

I've leaned towards Joshua but it could be the right time for someone like hrgovic to effectively end his career at the top of the division.

As none of the heavys want to fight each other without years of posturing will probably never happen but if Joshua was to fight Usyk or Fruy at some point i'd like to him in with someone who is a genuine threat.

Hearn has Hrgovic, who is the IBF mandatory. Hearn also has Joshua, who, when the IBF title becomes vacant will be offered the other corner by the IBF for the vacant title. That fight is now Hearn's focus and he won't be risking that fight by letting Wilder get anywhere near Hrgovic.

He had Hrgovic for years, as a copromtor and never let him near Joshua, also if IBF title becomes vacant, Hrgovic will fight second highest rated fighter - Otto Wallin for the title. To fight Hrgovic for IBF title, AJ will have to beat Hrgovic or Wallin withouth title fight, and that will be expensive and risky.

Wilder on the other hand is enourmous money, and not as risky as Hrgovic. Hrgovic would accept Wilder fight in a heartbeep, and if Hearn doesnt want to organize it, Kalle and Nisse Sauterland who are his actual promotors, will. So why doesnt Wilder step up to Hrgovic, no excuses?
    • He could have done it in IBF final eliminator
    • He could have done it befor Usyk-Dubois, to be next mandatory
    • He can do it now, and take Hrgovic spot - challening undisputed Usyk or even Fury for the fourth time will earn enourmous money, bigger than AJ fight
    • All he has to do is to beat Hrgovic
    • Why doesnt Wilder step up?

This is the fight Joshua would need to build his confidence.

Hearn will only let Hrgovic near Joshua if there is a title on the line and last I looked, the IBF had Hrgovic at 1, 2 was vacant and 3 was Joshua. Wallin was down at 8.

Provided Fury and Usyk go straight into a rematch, the IBF will declare their belt vacant and likely call for Hrgovic-Joshua.
