"Modern boxers" like Joshua and Fury? Same ones that are being knocked around by cruiserweights? Lol.

#1 Ali, simply the greatest heavyweight period.
#2 Holmes Jab could lead him to victory over any
heavy in history. But he had weaknesses that could
    be exploited by ATG competition.
#3 Lewis, his size and power would make him a
serious threat to any heavy, but he was ko'ed clean
a couple times by a couple of J.A.G. S in his prime
    # 4 Louis, the offensive firepower to beat almost any heavy
    in history...... But that chin?
#5 Liston at his best could beat most heavy's in history
#6 Foreman could beat every heavy ahead of him not
    named Ali.
#7 Tyson, the 2nd best offensive fighter on the list.
great chin, defensively solid. But that mind?
#8 Frazier doesn't get the respect deserved ,
the FOTC took a lot out of him. But prior to that
any heavy not named Foreman could be looking at a lost.
#9 Holyfeild , in his prime , a long night from any heavy.
#10 Bowe at his best a great talent. But lazy.

You mean a cruiserweight's punch isn't hard enough? Maybe you're right, I'll take Usyk as an example. Or being knocked down, but undefeated is less than never been knocked down, but defeated?

Fury yes, he clearly beats Louis, it will be a demolition job.
I've never rated Joshua very highly though.
And by modern I meant post 1980.

I do seem to remember him decisively beating an excellent fighter with an undisputed claim to the lineage, who happened to be the same size and weight as Usyk. Anyone remember that dude? Think he was Muslim or something?

I think Frazier can take on the smaller HWs without issue -- he'd give Usyk absolute hell, especially with it seeming Usyk is soft to body attacks. He'd have Usyk pissing out pieces of his own kidneys for a week, even if Usyk managed to squeak out a win on points. I think his problem is when the size difference gets too extreme.

So, depending on who he's up against, I rank Frazier high.

    1. Tyson - easily the best ever when you look at how emphatically he beat real good heavyweights and barely got hit/ lost rounds. Bit of a front runner yes but his personal life does excuse it somewhat and no such issues were present at his zenith.

    Some fair distance

    2. Larry Holmes - best boxer, serious fighting heart and chin, strong for 15 rounds.

    3. Riddick Bowe - 6’5 235lbs, the only super heavyweight with the combination of great stamina and an iron jaw. Very fluid, elite jab if you want to box him, the king slugger imo. Short prime yes but very formidable for every fighter in history.

    4. Ali - great chin and his results are undeniable.

I feel these are my standouts and the rest of the bunch I don’t feel strongly about.

Barrf, I've always enjoyed your posts and responses. I am a big proponent, now, that Frazier struggles with medium sized opponents most. I think smaller and larger men he destroys, I see him dominating Fury, Wilder, and AJ on the inside, simply cause his fists are faster and shorter and reach the target faster. because to Frazier their humongous size is a disadvantage according to the style Frazier utilizes.

Frazier is a giant-slayer. I think Usyk dominates Frazier, whereas Frazier dominates guys like Fury.

Watch the Usyk Chisora fight again, then tell me how he'll dominate Smokin Joe Frazier
