David Benavidez vs Demetrius Andrade Nov 25th in Las Vegas

Andrade gets a lot of hate but he actually seems alright and clearly a quality fighter, another one who spent too long begging for “pey dey”

Back in January, on the undercard of Davis-Garcia... the first one

He was actually supposed to debut in the weight class last year, around May in a fight against Zach Parker for the WBO Interim title, but he injured himself not too long before the fight date. The WBO then told him to defend his Middleweight belt against Alimkhanuly, and after months of acting like he would, the day before the purse bids he decided to drop it and pursue the WBO Interim title at 168 again. This time though, he pulled out after the purse bids because he was dissatisfied with the amount he was gonna be paid, which was apparently significantly lower than what he was gonna get the first time the fight was scheduled.

His actual debut at 168 was more of the same for him, though if I'm remembering right he should have had a flash knockdown against him that was ultimately ruled a slip.

While this is certainly the kind of fight 168 (or boxing as a whole really) needs to have....its a question mark if Canelo will fight the winner. I assume he would pick Crawford instead since he knows thats a guarenteed win, but I live in hope Canelo will do the right thing and instead fight Andrade or Benavidez.

 

Don't be so paranoid, doo android will give Benevidez a tough fight.

 

I can alrewdy see Andrade upsetting the apple cart by beating Benavidez, cancelling the all action slugfest vs Canelo.
Dont see Canelo facing Andrade at 168, high risk low reward

Inactivity and lack of any actual step ups (at least Benavidez is coming off the Plant fight) will probably doom him.

Andrade has been fighting bums for so long I doubt he will know what to do in a legit fight. Benavidez is going to give him the hiding of his life.

 

Before the Plant fight I would’ve went Andrade. If Andrade can’t take his power he’s going to get hurt badly.

 

The thing about Andrade is when he's on his A game, the dude can box and he also has the ability to control the pace of the fight . I can see Andrade making this a dull affair if he can take DB's big punches early on. I'm looking forward to this fight.

 

Exactly. What an absolute joke. No one knows how Andrade is and people are just beginning to hear about Benevidez. Neither one has been in a big fight.

 

Yeah at least Benavidez has been in with Plant though. Andrade is just a complete joke the guy is in his mid 30's and this will be his only meaningful fight and he will likely take a beating.
