Lennox in that list you have. But where the hell is Wlad? And why are fighters like David Haye and Julian Jackson on there?
I wrote the names of my top 25 elite right crossers on seperate little pieces of paper then crumbled them before putting them in a hat. These are the first 9 names i pulled out of the hat. If it makes you feel better i do remember writing Wlad on one of the pieces of paper. He must still be in the hat though.
Everyone talks about Holmes jab but his follow up right cross is seriously underrated an thrown in perfect form like the one he decked marvis Frazier with
Good post. I am convinced that Larry Holmes had quicker hands than Muhammad Ali, and the right cross he iced Marvis with is one of the fastest shots in boxing. I was watching Holyfield Holmes in 92 and Holmes actually had the quicker straight shots, but Holyfield put the punches together better, so he looked quick handed in there too. I think this is the same case with Ali where he throws better combinations than Holmes, but punch for punch Holmes’ jab and cross are noticeably quicker. The way Holmes handled Norton his own way with a great jab was 10 fold more impressive than the ugly mess Ali made of boxing Norton all three times, and I reckon Holmes’ hand speed was a big part of that.
