Ivan Dychko pro career and management

Seems to be content making his money as a sparring partner as opposed to being in the ring. Damn shame too, I've liked the few fights of his I've seen. But if that's how he prefers to make his hustle, it is what it is I reckon.

 

Sad waste. This is why boxing is a dead horse.

 

Initially I thought there might be some stamina issues over 8+ rounds ... but there might be a wink and a nod that the sparring (which he brings a lot to the table with) is contingent on him stepping back from the mix for some time.

I tried to keep up with his management stuff for a while but lost track.

 

I wish a guy like Egis Klimas would go after him and sign him. Egis would market that dude the way he should be. Way too much ability to be just brushed off.

 

What is happening to Ivan Dychko IMO is not just his problem, it is the problem of modern boxing (or the problem of understanding modern boxing).
After his seventh professional fight and victory over Maurice Harris!!!, Dychko did not fight for 10 months. A ten-month break before the next professional fight - that was once unimaginable; such an understanding of boxing and boxing career.

 

Dychko is too good to be overlooked, he needs a big fight, I'm sure he could beat fighters like Dubois, Sanchez etc, he just needs a chance to prove it...

 

The sad reality is that unless you have a promoter with money and connections to get you the big fights. If you are a seriously dangerous and quality HW, you are not going to get the fights.

Dychko wont be the first or the last HW whose career just peters out, because he is too tasty to get the big fights...and he does not have a decent promoter. Even if he did get a decent promoter, they could just park him up in order to stop him taking out their preferred HW cash cow (this is what happened to Luis Ortiz).

 

Sad reality is that he's just another Russky left out in the cold.

Looks like the Olympics has dumped boxing now.

 

Such a shame, he’s very entertaining to watch and is also there to be hit from what I’ve seen which makes it intriguing. I really hope he jumps up a few levels soon and fights maybe kabayal or khossabutsky

 

No, I think it's just his problem and who he chose to align himself with.

Contracts can be broken. New promoters buy out old promoters, new managers buy out old managers, all the time.

Boxers make choices. They can stay busy or sit on the shelf. There are boxing cards every weekend of the year.

You can stay busy if you want to.

If Dychko, living in Florida, can find regular work as a paid sparring partner, he can find regular fights on the same card that the other guy is fighting on, or on any cards nearby.

You made money in camp, so take the short money to fight somone on the undercard to stay busy and pick up another check.

Deontay Wilder was a bronze medalist, too. And there are a lot more gyms and boxing shows in Florida than there are in Alabama.

So Wilder worked as a sparring partner and fought for a lot of years in some real backwater dumps just to stay busy. Most of those cards weren't even televised. And people still give him a lot of crap for taking all those fights.

But he wasn't just sitting around. And, after six years, he had 32 fights under his belt and a title shot to start the new year.

If you really want to find a way, you do.

I doubt many people can read Dychko s name properly.

 

Al Haymon wasn't involved the whole time.

Al Haymon didn't negotiate for Wilder to fight in the Tuscaloosa Ampitheater, at the Shelton State University Ampitheater, the Killer Buzz Arena or at the Club Palace in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in front of nobody, against nobody for a couple hundred or a thousand bucks, if that. You don't need Al Haymon to get a fight with Dustin Nichols.

Don't kid yourself.

Wilder and his trainer/manager Jay Deas fought to stay busy. Regardless of the locale and the opponent.

Some people are willing to put in work, stay in shape, take whatever is offered, and some aren't.

There are three fight cards in Florida THIS WEEKEND. Three different shows. Does Dychko have a car? There is literally a boxing gym in Florida called the Heavyweight Factory where professional heavyweights train.

Maybe his manager should get off his butt and make him a fight this month, next month, every month. Stay busy.
