Does it annoy anyone else that it's become mainstrem parlance now to call Floyd "The Best Ever"?

Floyd was a brilliant fighter and undoubtedly an ATG. That much cannot be denied. His almost clinical annihilation of Diego Corrales was a pugilistic masterpiece.

But pay the overwhelmingly millennial, "he's the best ever yo!" morons no mind. He's not the best fighter of my lifetime, much less of all-time.

Floyd Mayweather is just a meme and he is showing no signs of becoming a normal human bieng either. He will continue to be that caricature of a man to his grave surrounded by millions of which many have been squandered and that will be all she wrote. I wish him all the best. I wish him happiness. If someone has to call themselves TBE it says a lot. Late career Floyd was a cherry picker who used to run like a thief and pot shot opponents to steal UDs from paid off judges. That is how i remember the guy.

Earlier career Floyd was a great fighter and entertaining.

 

Yeah, Conner did make that fight as big as it was. Nobody talks trash better than Conner. Especially when he was trashing the p4p king at that time. It was a master class in promotions.
