Floyd Mayweather v Tim Tszyu at 154

You read my mind. I was thinking about this last night.

Tszyu couldn't beat Mayweather could he? No way! Or can he? He has the size advantage. He won't lose composure. He could walk Mayweather down at times. But not always. Mayweathers jab stops him in his track. Then the right hand follows. And the lead left hook. And the stiff jab to the body.

Floyd wins. If Tszyu can prove it in the coming years, the disucssion changes. Not now though.

 

Not a big fan of Mayweather but everybody still compares anyone half decent from 135 to 160 to him years after he was supposed to descend into the irrelevance that narcicisst deserves.

Clearly hes left his mark in boxing.

Maidana is a brawler who struck at any possible angle he could to crack Floyd’s philly shell. Floyd struggled because he couldn’t predict what Maidana was gonna do so and his chin held up to everything Floyd threw at him. Floyd has trouble against these kind of guys, but you know what kind of guys he doesn’t have trouble with?

The kind who fight straight forward, is slow and predictable which is exactly the kind of fighter Tsyzu is.

Floyd couldn’t deter Canelo from coming forward either and he was something like 165-170 on fight night, so he took pot shots at him the whole fight and outboxed him whenever he got up close for a very clear win. Floyd would do the same thing to Tszyu who, correct me if I’m wrong because I could be, is less experienced & smaller than the Canelo who Floyd dismantled.

 

Mayweather is 46 right now so I do think I would favor Tszyu by KO.

 

Mayweather goes life and death and arguably gets a gift against Maidana but Tszyu has no chance? Fact is.... Mayweather is totally unproven at 154. He wouldn't fight Tszyu anyways.
