Dana White mad all his fighters leave UFC before maturity before he can milk them all out because they earn 10x more in a single boxing fight.

Francis earning near $10m for one fight. He was making $500m per fight at best in UFC.

If Jon Jones wasn't tied into a slave contract he could leave and make 10x more also.

These MMA guys are all manufactured built up bums anyway. When a boxer with real pedigree comes into the pro game and they build him up they aren't building him up at any real risk...unlike UFC where these guys can lose the moment they step up against someone with a pulse.

What really scares Dana is he gets another McGregor type guy he can make money off and he leaves which is what would happen.

The real issue is Dana sits on his pedestal acting like he and UFC is better than boxing. Meanwhile the boxing guys (Who aren't a monopoly) don't even mention UFC because they aren't bitter losers.

Imagine the UFC did draw boxing type revenue, you think Dana is giving it back to the fighters? nope.

The youtubers last night made better money than career MMA guys...and who was there? the boxing fraternity, Eddie Hearn. DAZN. Why? Because they understand business.

The next UFC PPV, fighters dropped out and on short notice we have Volk step up a weight again for a rematch of 2 f the best p4p fighters. Usman a former champ also stepping up a weigh to make it an awesome card. Boxing showed how it's about everything else but seeing who is the best when it took Floyd and Pac an eternity to get in the ring way after when they were in their prime.

Lots of problems with Dana and the UFC. But as far as fights being made, the overall quality of cards. There's no comparison. UFC>>>>>> boxing. Very rare that's there more than 2-3 fights on an entire boxing PPV that anyone cares about.

What i like about mma is that you dont have to wait 10 years for big fights and overall quality of events is better. In boxing you have main event and lotta bums fighting for yawning people.

Fair point and that's one side of what the UFC do. The other thing they do is chronically short change their fighters, who after all, are their show.

UFC far exceeds boxing in putting on the big fights without having to wait years for them. Makes it much more attractive to the causal viewer.

Boxing is just too fragmented. We talk about how poor boxing cards are but why is that? We had 4 separate cards last Saturday. UFC never has 4 separate cards in 1 day. Each promotion has their own card. It's not that we don't have enough good fights happening to make a good cards, it's that every fight worth watching HAS to be its own headliner.

You said a whole lot of nothing there. But MMA fighters are hyped up bums? Stick Jon Jones and Tyson Fury in a 10x10 room with no ref and see who comes out breathing.

I'm no economics expert but ultimately a business doesn't go out of business for any reason other than there's not enough money in the kitty to make it financially worthwhile to stay afloat. This could be due to legal problems, cash flow problems, too much money going to the wrong areas in the business, the overall health of a particular industry etc.

So he's right, there seems to be some issues regarding staying in business in boxing as of late when you take into consideration what's happened with HBO and now Showtime.

It's a shame because from a competition (boxing) perspective, the pedigree and development of training techniques, fighting styles and dietary methods have found it's levels organically over the past 150 years.

Take the Jon Jones vs Cyril Gane contest for example. That just wouldn't happen in boxing due to the pedigree and development of the sport. It would be the equivalent of Roy Jones Jr fighting at light heavyweight, have a 3 year layoff and not live cleanly, put on 40 pounds, return to the ring after 3 years and KO John Ruiz in round 1 at heavyweight.
