So this is why showtime and PBC were actually desperately forced into making these fights this past year, to think they waited untill the end in hopes to duping the next investor LOL

Even the corrupt Mafia come to an end it seems.

As opposed to all the amazing fights Top Rank and Dazn deliver? lol. They are even worse. This is about the flawed business model of boxing as a whole, not down to these silly network promotional wars you kids play.

Couldn't be happier with the failure of Showtime. Also love that bscene is being transparent about Showtime/Paramount owning them...

In other words, bscene has been a PBC PROPAGANDA machine that past 10 years...just pedaling bullsh!t. Dont believe me? Why's a boxing site covering Jake Paul or KSI or exhibition bouts?

Bscene gonna be outta a whole lotta money and I'm happier for that given how racist the forum and moderators are over there. A literal AkiTV circle jerk.

Anyhow, the collapse of Showtime boxing has opened the sport up in a way it hasnt been in years. Hoping Dana White or someone comes in and saves it !

Ah yes, those lame fights like Loma vs. Teo, Loma vs. Haney, Oscar vs. Shakur, Oscar vs. Berchelt, turning Navarrete into an attraction, Inoue vs. Moloney, Fulton, Donaire x2, Manny Rodríguez, Josh Taylor vs José Ramírez, Josh Taylor vs. Teo, the rise of Anderson as a heavyweight, Anthony Joshua being an attraction everywhere, Canelo vs Danny Jacobs, GGG III, Saunders, Smith, Ryder and Bivol, GGG vs. Sergiy Derevyanchenko, Murata, Leigh Wood vs Conlon, Lara x2, Warrington, the rise of Jamie Munguia (who sucks but is an attraction nonetheless), Crawford vs Porter, Chocolatito vs. Rooster II & III, Rooster vs Cuadras II, Bam vs. Sunny later this year, hidden gems like Jose Zepeda vs Ivan Baranchyk throughout the years, and access to Japanese boxing with Teraji, Ioka, and Junto.

Totally "even worse" than checks notes Rolly Romero beating some old dude in one of the most disgusting robberies of all time to grab a belt. Or Wilder vs various bums of the month. Or Tank Davis vs. various bums of the month (like Rolly). Or the endless parade of welterweight dorks playing keep away from Crawford. Or everyone and their mother acting all tough talking about Canelo until they're in the same room with him, where they can't wait to kiss his ass (looking right at you, Benavidez and Jermell).

    Drink bleach you absolute buffoon.

Other than the Wilder/Fury trilogy that was a cherry pick gone wrong and "co-promoted" (did all the actual work) by Top Rank, this is the first time in years that PBC promotions gave anyone even remotely what they wanted, even if it was far, far too late. This isn't a failure of boxing as a whole (they don't have this problem in the UK, or Mexico, or Japan, or Australia - the last two are rising markets, btw). Only in America, and only in divisions where the PBC dorks have prominence. But hey keep living in a world where the Navarrete vs Shakur fight we'll get on free TV is totally worse than Tank Davis vs Isaac Cruz II electric boogaloo, coming to a PPV near you, you absolute mental midget.

Top Rank had Loma fighting Teo and other champs. Top Rank risked Fury v Wilder. Top Rank put Haney against whoever. Top Rank put Crawford against whoever. Top Rank does like in-house money (like all promoters) but they make the fights happen.

Its only PBC that ducks other promo companies.

Couldnt be happier PBC will fail

They thought they were being so slick but that first Big Cherry pick going wrong with Fury was the start & people always wonder why Wilder never ends up fighting any one good like who's at fault haha.

Maybe some people who control a lot of money and have huge impact on the media and not only, decided that they should remove boxing from people's eyes.I guess boxing is "too male, too traditional" sport for the LGBTQ+ values

Weird how most UFC guys are happy that Showtime is done with boxing, yet are completely unconcerned with Bellator, another MMA company. Just shows what complete company shills they are, who don't care about the sport and just the product UFC.

Oh yeah I completely forgot about Bellator I used to watch it a long nine years back then when it was on normal TV, they had good matchups but you could tell the competition wasn't on The level of then UFC.

UFC fans are childlike as they fit into the same category of those that are into the YouTubers going at it.

Bellator, like UFC, has been underpaying their fighters for years and getting away with it because until recently no serious investigation into their finances has been conducted. UFC is at least facing a lawsuit they stand a very good chance to lose and if they do, they'll have to pay thousands of former and current fighters from a pool of literal billions. To them, Bellator losing a distributor and possibly going under is the most punishment they can hope for.

IF PBC is "failing" ... they are failing "UP."

Currently, Amazon and DAZN, two global operations, are bidding for their services.

NBC/Peacock just signed an exclusive agreement with BOXXER promotions. They had previously dropped boxing. Now they're picking it back up.

And HBO cancelled boxing (and tennis) because they wanted to focus more on scripted TV,.

But HBO became MAX this year, and this week MAX is televising major league baseball playoff games, national hockey league games and NBA games and preparing to launch a separate add-on Sports service (Bleacher Report Sports).

So, who knows, maybe MAX will be getting back into boxing soon, too.

CBS/Showtime is just in the middle of a transition at the moment. Everything is in flux. They'll see what works and what doesn't.

HBO obviously decided they needed sports arm after dropping boxing and tennis. NBC had dropped boxing, now just signed an exclusive promotional outfit to provide boxing to them.

Executives are coming and going at all these networks. What's "right" one day is "wrong" the next.
