As much as it's a crap fight can't blame him IF his intention is to set up a fight with the winner of Fury Usyk.
There's no chance that is his intention. Hearn is simply throwing out a load of big names like he usually does then they make some crap excuses as to why the other fighter didn't want it so now we have to fight this bum for millions instead. But we promise the next fight will be massive.... Repeat.....
Got a feeling he copped another ban. He was spitting some uncomfortable truths about the lower weights (pointing out prime Hearns and Duran weighed less than the average teenage girl) the feds must have taken offence. Man knows his boxing and isn’t about to dress the truth up for anyone.
If the rumour is true: it isn't a fight I want to watch, but would make perfect sense if it is for the WBA regular. An obvious route to a mandatory, albeit back of the queue as Dubois just fought Usyk. And if the belts splinter after Fury-Usyk (if it happens) he's possibly promoted to full champion.
Joshua, Charles Martin and Parker are all splintered vacated belt specialists. Not a single genuine World Heavyweight Champion dethroned by any of them.
Both good contributors on here and the increasing numbers of claret beside names is noticeable while reading threads recently. Most of what I read on here may be difference of opinions but all in good taste with plenty of banter.
I wouldn’t mind Michael Hunter as an opponent especially since he has a win over Martin Bakole who many rave about on here. Joshua is in a great position. The Wilder fight is always there as long a territory gives them the money they deserve. Remember that Wilder hasn’t fought since stopping Helenius in 1 round last year. If anyone thinks either fighter is ducking each other, they are being incompetent. Give them the money they were offered and they will fight tomorrow. Joshua might as well face Manuel Charr for the WBA Regular Title so the WBA can order him to fight Fury once he beats Usyk twice. The IBF route is always there too. I doubt Hrgovic or Wallin would fight Joshua when they will soon be ordered to fight each other for the vacant title. Joshua has dedicated his craft to improving under Derrick James. 3 fights in just over 8 months is tremendous activity for a fighter of the calibre of Joshua. Weren’t people here complaining that Joshua was too inactive and that he would only fight once in 2023? Joshua can’t win!
Yup. Some very sensitive folk handing bans out, like you said difference of opinions and banter should not qualify for one, just saying.
