Was Kenny Keene ever in a position to avoid anybody? Seemed like he was always in the role of mountain climber and was taking whatever televised fights he got offered. He was a big deal evidently in Idaho and drew some crowds. Remember reading an article where he was being treated for a TBI because of the effects of his career so I hope he's on the upswing.
I don’t see too many prospects or high profile guys on his record. But yeah he was a very active guy who took on whatever came his way I guess.
Harold Brazier,Marty Jackubowski, and Buck Smith had tons of fights in order to land bigger fights. In the late 80s and 90s believe it or not the Midwest was sort of a hotbed for boxing and for boxers looking to stay active.
I think it's way off that the Kenny - Bobby Crabtree trilogy isn't mentioned in the 'three fights' thread personally.
Kenny Keene was, I believe, the last fighter out of Idaho to have any type of recognition. Tough guy, a lot of heart. There is a gym in Idaho Falls- Razor Edge Boxing Club- that is coming along pretty well.
