LOL. It's "rubbish" only if you intend to whitewash history. The reality of 1960s and 70s America was quite different.

    Where are you from?

Have you ever studied American history?

American History? What history? You're one of the youngest countries on earth. I'm British btw.

Why are you defending a bunch of cult leaders who wanted segregation at least in their religious cult sense.

Oh... British. So you probably don't know anything about 100 years of Jim Crow, blacks hanging from trees, actual segregation, etc.

I'm not defending a cult, I'm telling you that these were intelligent men with legitimate gripes in their day and time. You are applying a British 2023 perspective to an American black man in 1970 in order to characterize him as a puppet.

    We disagree. No problem.

Elijah Muhammad was intelligent? He was a pedophile that's all I know and got Malcolm X assassinated.

Anyone who follows a doctrine which is put out by a cult is a puppet and early 60's Ali was just that. Now that's not to say he didn't grow a person of course and form his own opinions, he did. Even Malcolm X did, he realized the error of the path people tried to lead him down...and it cost him his life.

I don't think we're disagreeing I just don't think the picture or point I'm painting is clear enough.

Exactly this. I don't think he cracks top 10 in a P4P basis.

He's the usual #1 heavyweight though on most lists although even that can be argued of course.

That's a very good point and I suppose the subject goes to my personal taste. I'm a believer in the quality of staying at one weight class and defending your title for a long time.
