Catterall should be aiming higher. If they're feeding him Linares, I doubt it's too hard for him to find fights. I like Catterall, though, I hope he wins as easily as I expect him to. It'd be a shame for him to get caught by a monster punch and all of his work thus far to be disregarded.

I agree.... but call me crazy, I think Linares, who usually always excels against southpaws, is going to give him fits. Might even pull the upset.

Yeah, because Jack Catterall didn't get a bit of a gift against Ohara Davies and barely eke by Tyrone McKenna on knockdowns did he?

As a Irish man and a big fan of McKenna that was a one sided beatdown by Catterall

Really? Is that why everyone on the RBR who are pretty sharp scorers, had Catterall winning because of the knockdowns?

I'm no Catterall truther, but Linares is cooked and has no chin. I don't see how he pulls this off.

Linares style, with that right hand of his, on paper is problematic for a southpaw, that's true. But at 38 and coming off 3 straight losses, I doubt he can pull the trigger on it like he used too.

Right now Catterall's only claim to fame is losing a highly controversial decision to Taylor, he still has a lot to prove, if he's as good as that fight suggested he should deal with this version of Linares. If he struggles then questions have to be asked, if he's really elite at 140 or if he was just all wrong for Taylor.

I don't even rate Catterrall that highly and I can't stand his ugly spoiler octopus style which should be illegal. Ohara is the only fighter above domestic level he's fought other than a terrible version of Taylor and he arguably lost that fight and Ohara isn't really even world level.

I'd love to see Linares' ghost be able to roll back the years and pull it off and like most spoilers if you can negate their spoiling, awkwardness and cheating you'll expose them for not even being 50% as good as people think they are. A big ask at his age and this stage of his career but hopefully Linares might be able to negate that to a certain extent with his experience and speed.

Serge are you alright? El Gato is a gent and scholar, a splendid fighter, and KO artist when he wants to be, he takes it easy on his opponente because hes a Gent.
