This is one of the more interesting matchups in the sport. They both have the same promoter, so it's a real possibility.

    What is your prediction?

I'm not counting Charlo out. He knew he'd lose the Canelo fight, but wanted the money.
I think he shows up against Crawford.
Ill make a pick when the fight is signed.

He's not as good a fighter P4P as Crawford, not as talented - yet he's a bigger man who should be fighting at 168. Size does matter in boxing, so although I'm picking Crawford to win, I think Jermell won't be easy for him and is a live underdog.

Crawford slaps Charlo's ***** arse like a cheap prostitute.

The fight will never happen though. Crawford isn't interested.

Crawford isn't interested anymore is he? Maybe not after seeing what Canelo did to Charlo. Crawford seemed pretty interested in fighting Canelo on Joe Rogan's podcast. I guess that was just all talk. Bud realized, he just a little guy. Bud ain't ready to move out the kiddie pool yet, Bud ain't ready to put his big boy pants on and back up his talk about how he was gonna fight the winner of Canelo Charlo.

But you're so sure Crawford would slap Canelo around huh?

But he ain't interested anymore? Why is that?

    :eaea:

I thought Bud said he wasn't interested in fighting Charlo anymore, after his dismal performance against Canelo. But on Joe Rogan, Crawford said he wanted the winner of Canelo Charlo. Well Canelo won, so what's Bud's excuse now? He said he wanted the winner didn't he? Guess not!

All Crawford will do is run once he discovers his punches will have zero impact on someone much bigger and stronger than him. If not and he decides to go all-in guns blazing, he gets knocked the hell out in brutal fashion similarly to Kovalev.

I think Charlo beats him. He's the bigger guy with a good punch at 154, experienced at the weight and proved to be able to survive numerous body shots from a 168 Canelo without slowing down. Crawford is a monster at 147, but moving up a weight class will test whether or not those attributes go up with him. Even skill can be affected depending on how that weight is gained and how Crawford handles it.

I don't think Charlo is even as good as Spence, but he might go the distance if he goes into survival mode again.

I see it as a very even matchup. Bud does have a good skill set but Charlo has great defense and great stamina. He also can punch. Bud can punch too but Charlo has a good chin. I don't think Charlo is mentally weak, so I lean ever so lightly in favor of Charlo, but on the other hand, Bud would be heavily favored and if it goes the distance I could see Bud getting the nod, deservedly or not. Particularly because Charlo isn't a volume puncher and doesn't typically wins rounds on activity. This was evident against Canelo when he was extremely economical and content to lose rounds whilst fighting a very defensive fight. If Bud is the aggressor, he could win rounds simply by perceived effective aggression, with both fighters being very economical, low output. But I also could see Charlo fighting smart, blocking most of Bud's punches, but as the bigger man not being bulled by Bud like he was by Canelo, and being more willing to engage with Bud than he was with Canelo.

I think this could be a great fight, a very even back and forth matchup. Now, in fairness, I also thought Canelo Charlo could be a great fight so what do I know. But if this fight actually happened, I think Jermell would be very determined to go all out after all the criticism he has received given how he fought against Canelo. I think most people would favor Bud and expect him to dominate and I think Charlo would have a lot to prove and could surprise a lot of people. I wouldn't be shocked if Bud won, he's a great fighter and it would prove a lot for him to move up a weight class and dethrone Charlo. Admittedly I'm more of a fan of Jermell Charlo than I am of Bud so I may be biased. However I do recognize how good Bud is and would give him a good chance of winning.

I think Charlo would make this an exciting fight but I see Bud catching him late.

I would say Bud by TKO round 10 or 11
