terence is the best pound for pound, his difference in skills with Canelo is immense... Terence seemed very confident a few weeks ago before the fight with Charlo... his fans believe him... they put him as a wide favorite over Canelo And Terence, if he has a heart, will listen to his fans and give them what they want to see.
straw man af. please link the posts. there is a small faction that can see it possibly being competitive and want to see Bud try, but we grant that Avarez has to be the favorite. there is ONE poster that says what you're saying. probably your alt. ok...you got me. have a (you)
From what I've read Crawford said he wants the fight. I think it's pointless to be honest, but if he's going to get a career high payday why not. 1 thing I do know is that he'd at least try harder to win than Charlo did.
Last time I checked, he did. But to answer this very simplistic question. Maybe because there's 3 ****ing divisions between them?
He apparently does, but it'll just result in him getting knocked the hell out the moment Canelo touches him. I mean Canelo has been through wars at 154, 160, 168 and 175. None of those guys managed to hurt him and only Bivol/Kovalev had enough strength to actually push him back, but we're supposed to believe some guy from 147 with a resume full of cans is gonna do what none of the bigger guys could? Yeah....I think Crawford should stay in his own lane before Canelo puts him out of the race altogether.
Heck Juan Terrence is a WW 147 Canelo would have a job making 168 to defend against him that is TWENTY ONE POUNDS DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!! that's the odds Canelo usually likes Its not Terrence ducking a fight.. Canelo needs to defend his 168 trinkets against a legitimate or be stripped of them all. He's afraid to fight Bivol again lol @168
So what's Bud's frame of mind here? Canelo demolished and undisputed champion moving up 2 divs, there's now way he beats me cause I'm moving up 3 divs. Is that it?
For the same reasons Usyk doesn't want to fight Fury. It implies throwing the fight for money. And neither Crawford or Usyk want that.
One thing I'd say is I can kind of understand Crawford contemplating this - at least to an extent - is that if he was to go up 3 divisions and decision Canelo, then it would significantly change the narrative on his resume - both in terms of 'daring to be great' and facing an elite / atg - and at a significant disadvantage. Maybe bud sees the Bivol blueprint and thinks he can execute on it? Given Crawford walks around at 175 or similar I don't see it out the realms of possibility that he could get on his bike and potshot to a decision - whether he gets the decision being another question
Not that I rate Canelo -who is actually a ginger con-artist toe rag..but Terence is not the "best pound for pound". He was a huge weight bully at 140 and below. Even at 147 he is big. The guy is known to walk around 180lbs, he's even posted pictures of himself on the scales at that weight. He's so skilled that he can't fight opponents his own size. At 147lbs, he beat a shot, inactive, drained Spence and "beat" (AKA be down on the scorecards and rely on a towel being thrown in for no reason) part time commentator Shawn Porter....If this is what makes someone the "best pound for pound" then the standards you have must be very low
He clearly stated he wanted the fight and nothing I have seen since has changed that. So he hasn't been vocal of late, that doesn't mean he doesn't want it now, does he have to repeat it every single day or it's proof he's ducking what kind of BS fan boy thinking is that. Canelo hasn't mentioned rematched Bivol or called out Beterbiev and that's only one division up but I'm not making threads saying Canelo is a coward and doesn't want it, even if that maybe true. Fact is Crawford's next fight is likely vs Spence and Canelo will give us another pointless fight against Jermall who is even less prepared to face Canelo or anyone else given his inactivity. Then maybe Canelo will fight Benavidez or Crawford, either one would be acceptable. Once both have dealt with their next opponents then we can talk seriously about a possible fight between them.
