If Usyk says he can't fight because he wants to celebrate Christmas, after saying he couldn't fight Fury earlier this year because he was observing Ramadan, I think we should just assume he's oozing peds.

Well, it appears that the diva has caught wind that Usyk won't be available for a December fight. Now, he's attempting to polish up his public image after his rather embarrassing display during the initial 70/30 negotiations. If he pretends to be the valiant savior of the fight (even though he knows Usyk can't make it), he hopes to portray himself as the victim this time, conveniently forgetting his previous role as an utter fool and a coward during the first round of negotiations.

Hopefully this is a play from the middleweight and fatboy has taken the bait. Usyk has already embarrassed nandrolone once. It would be hilarious to see Fury be destroyed in the public eye again. Fat boys stock tanked, globally.

The irony of the usual Fury nut jugglers.

First response - "Usyks going to duck and make the fight fall apart for December"
Reality - Fury intentionally put roadblocks in place last time to ensure the fight didn't happen. Strangely, Fury has had MANY failed fights in the past, whereas Usyk has never had an issue.

Second response - "Usyk is using steroids and won't be fighting in December"
Reality - Usyk has never tested positive for using steroids. The irony lies in the fact that Fat Boy has been popped for nandrolone use and has a well-documented history of recreational drug use (and then trying to bribe a local farmer to defend him).

Funny how you've all come out of the woodwork now that the 70/30 PR nightmare has subsided :ambulance:

Usyk fights for the only time in 2022 in late August.

A couple weeks later (Sept. 3), Usyk rules out fighting Tyson Fury in December 2022. Says he has old injuries and just doesn't want to fight in December. (Says maybe they'll fight in 2023 - but he doesn't actually step in the ring for nearly a full year.)
    https://www.ringnews24.com/2022/09/...-this-year-but-says-he-wants-tyson-fury-next/

There was some preliminary talk of Usyk facing Fury before the end of the year, but Usyk ruled it out.

“Fighting Tyson Fury in December is impossible,” he said. “First, I have old injuries. Second, I just don’t want to box in December. I haven’t left the gym for half a year. I want to be with my children and my family. Boxing can wait for a little. Next year I think it will happen.”

Usyk fights for the only time in 2023 ... again in late August ... almost to the day.

Usyk again rules out fighting Tyson Fury in December 2023, same excuse as last year, again citing nagging injuries. Says he needs a three and a half month camp (leaving out the part it's already been a couple months since his last fight) and maybe they'll fight in 2024.

    https://www.essentiallysports.com/b...yweight-clash-be-postponed-for-the-next-year/

I can’t say that everything’s okay. But I’m fine. Some wounds, old injuries need to be healed. Everything’s under control. I do my training sessions every day, but I need 14 weeks for my camp. It would be enough time for me. The first weeks, I’m doing my work, that helps me to get ready for the training camp. Then I’m working hard for the next 12 weeks.

Since moving up into this division, Usyk fought once in the early fall in 2019, once in the early fall in 2020 against Chisora, once in the late summer/early fall in 2021 against Joshua and once in the late summer in 2022 and 2023.

He needs three and a half months to train for every heavyweight fight even though he needs to lose no weight.

He complains of injuries after wins where he apparently suffered no injuries.

He only fights once a year, around the same time of year.

He didn't do any of this as a cruiserweight, only since moving up to heavyweight.

At this point, it's a five-year pattern. A five-year pattern is difficult to dismiss.

So are the odds better that a Fury-Usyk fight takes place in December 2023 or in LATE SUMMER/EARLY FALL of 2024?

Glass Belly seems to be on a cycle.

Fury’s a clown. After the UFC guy KOs him he’ll be begging Usyk for a fight.

So you just confirmed what people are saying, Fury asked for a fight which wasn’t possible.

He demands December, after Usyk has said that December can’t happen. In essence, pricing Usyk out - like he did himself in the first negotiations.

So in your own words for other fighters, Fury just knowingly ducked Usyk. Right?

Isn’t that how your triangle theories work?

But your theories stop when it comes to Fury testing positive for PEDs? Right?

Maybe when Gary Russell Jr, I mean Usyk, fights his one fight in 2024 late next summer/early fall, it'll finally be against Fury.

But Usyk doesn't even bother writing new excuses anymore.

    * If it's August, it's the end of the calendar year for Usyk.
    * Can't fight in December. Too injured every year from his LONE fight where he walked out injury free.
    * Is it Ramadan yet, he can't fight then, either. Cross off March and April.
    * Then he needs three and a half months (at minimum) for camp.
    * That takes us right to his annual late summer/early fall fight.

Then it's time to close up shop for the year.

Usyk's glass belly is apparently full of "juice."

Fury is a *** no doubt about it. Usyk says it ain't happening in December and of course Fury wants to give the ultimatum. Lol. I don't understand how people can still support this guy.

Orthodox Christmas isn't even in December. It's 7th January next year.

I don't think it's an ultimatum. It's the date of the fight they signed and agreed to. December 23.

Obviously Usyk didn't agree. No way Fury fight 1.5 months out from Ngannou to Usyk.

Short notice, small window ultimatum OR it’s never?

Seems obvious where the BS is coming from - and where it’s always come from.

At the risk of being accused of being a boxing fan, I'd like to see Fury-Usyk fight in December.
