    Fury was lineal Heavyweight champion

He retired last year and vacated the Ring Heavyweight Belt on August 12 2022

When Fury retired Usyk and Joshua were ranked #1 and #2. https://web.archive.org/web/20220817...eightclass=272

They fought and Usyk won on August 20 2022. Usyk also won the Ring Belt Fury vacated.

On October 20 two months later Fury came out of retirement to fight Chisora.

So Fury's "retirement" lasted a little over 2 months.

So when Fury and Usyk fight the true World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned.

Fury retired (then un-retired) and Usyk vs. Joshua were the next two highest ranked. Usyk is lineal, the new line was established.

Fury was lineal but with him retiring, being suspended because of doping which puts the legitimacy of his win over Wlad in doubt, I say he relinquished the lineal title or never had it.

Question is, is Usyk now lineal? Joshua beat Wlad who if we say the Fury victory of him is not legitimate means Joshua became lineal and therefore Usyk is now lineal.

Personally I regard the lineal title as vacant. Fury/Usyk re-establishes the lineal title. But in the end I really don't care as long as they fight.

It's the man who beat the man. Quite simply Fury is that man until someone beats him!

    Fury is lineal

Usyk has no claim to it

Beating a bodybuilder who bought his belts doesn't make you the man.

As will be proven when Fury toys with that midget.

Fury is the dominant champion of this era. Nobody comes close.

It's Fury, despite his "Mayweather" (FAKE) retirement.

Nobody believed Fury was retired except for a couple of dolts at Ring magazine.

The WBC didn't even believe him.

Fury told the Ring editor on a Friday he was retired, even though he was actively looking for an opponent and it was being reported that he was by every outlet.

Literally everyone knew he wasn't retired.

The NEXT day, Usyk and Joshua fight. Before the broadcast was even over, Fury was on social media saying he wanted Usyk.

And Fury announces his next WBC title defense and a stadium full of tickets are sold, but Ring drops him from Champion status to unranked anyway. And doesn't rate him the rest of the year.

Who besides a few guys at Ring thought Fury wasn't one of the 10 best heavyweights all last year? Seriously?

They sabotaged their own ratings for half the year because they didn't get the joke. And were too embarrassed to admit it. They knew their ratings were wrong, and just stuck with it anyway.

Then they rate him #1 in January.

Fury is the lineal heavyweight champ.

The person who beats Fury will be the next lineal champ.

Fury is, but he's got to be the biggest ducker in the HW division I've ever seen since Bowe.

Does it really matter if one announces it? Even if everyone knows it's BS? A fighter says they retired, what's the Ring or ABC supposed to do, pretend it never happened?

Fury has owned all the heavyweight belts Usyk has, including the Ring belt, and never lost any of them in the ring to any of the previous holders, whether they were Usyk, Joshua, Parker, Ruiz or Martin.

You don't lose the lineal title because an editor at Ring doesn't get the joke and is too embarrassed to admit it.

Fury relinqished the ring belt just so he could win it back off Usyk and put his name deservingly next to Ali.

Did Fury 'wink' when he announced it? Someone was volatile and unpredictable as Fury says it, everyone is supposed to be in on it?
Fury f*cked himself with his announcement.
