Tyson Luke Fury vs. Francis Zavier Ngannou & Fabio Wardley vs. David Adeleye RBR.

Wilder probably sitting down with his note pad at home coming up with excuse number 3060 after watching this, only to go in & lose once more.

 

Can I volunteer? I promise I won't turn a blind eye...

 

I have often wondered how he would fare with big, strong heavy guys. Initially Joshua, but latterly Joyce and then Zhang. We haven't seen him have to deal with this kind of thing - where the puncher in the fight can also (almost) match his physicality - and who he may not be able to keep honest with his power. I've thought about that since Wallin stepped to him in their fight and had some success - Otto is a solid guy, not huge, but wasn't cowed by Fury's size or power.

Not making a case for those guys - just adding context for all those people that have always assumed Fury walks through them (which I have never believed personally. I've always fancied him to beat them - but never easily).

 

Zhang and Joyce both beat fury. Fury's low volume and lack of power would have no effect on them and he'd just get battered by the bigger and stronger men

 

Usyk unfortunately won't get much credit if he wins now, but it's still an important fight that needs to happen, and it can still be a very interesting one if Fury actually trains for it.

 

But Fury beat Wlad too (I know it was 8 years ago).
And I'm quite sure even today's Wlad who is always in shape beats Ngannou after a good 2 months camp

 

Yeah it does suck but if Furys plan worked in aging out Usyk while he goes through more rounds with other heavyweights it would be the opposite win in direction, it's happened in history & then you have to hear about how fighter a was always so much better LOL.

 

Great post and spot on, let's also not forget that Ngannou switched to southpaw for long periods in the fight and was not punished for it. Dillian Whyte tried it and was punished. Great performance from Ngannou, he deserved the win but he has come out of this with a lot of deserved respect and his fan base will increase as a result, hopefully his bank account too coz he deserves it

 

Regardless of how many fans Fury has lost through this debacle, you've gained a few by being honest as ESB's most ardent Fury fan. Top job!

I know you shouldn't judge era's, but lets be honest the heavyweights of the 80's and 90's were way better than what we have now. Fury has only been the top heavyweight in the division as the division of today is way weaker than what it was years ago. Mike Tyson would have mashed him up in a couple of rounds in his pomp.

 

Yeah. Hats off to the guy. He's definitely shown more stones than @Aydamn did after Povetkin/Whyte I. and this despite Fury dodging a bullet, was a far more embarrassing debacle.
