I have never seen that in a legit knock down (clearly not a slip) ever before. NOTHING at all for the rest of the round (because a jab to the body I think that we can agree that it is nothing).

In fact I'm more interested in reading your opinions on the subject rather than in giving mine, though. So that's you opinion, you think that it is normal. Ok.

    Pretty obvious I think.

Why should the whole division be run at the pleasure of the village idiot purely because he holds one of four belts?

Why should Usyk, AJ and Zhang have to ice their careers because that fat gypsy conman is allowed to do as he likes?

It’s time that governing bodies grew some stones and stripped the belts off human garbage like Fury and the Charlo sisters.

Normal, no. Normal for an MMA fighter who just struck gold by knocking down his much more experienced opponent? Heh, maybe not normal but understandable. "If I stay away I get a 10-8 round". It's not that crazy.

He would have seen Fury has great powers of recovery

He would have known the shot wasn't a perfect shot and Fury wasn't badly hurt

He would be aware it's his first boxing match and doesn't want to gas out and lose his newly gained advantage

What you're suggesting is Francis threw the fight. If you think about that, he has absolutely nothing to gain from doing so. Him knocking out Fury would make him a mega star and make him immediately one of the highest paid fighters around

I mean it’s plausible the whole thing was set up for fury to win, the way everyone had it written into their contract to publicly fawn over those Saudi dons, they can buy anything, the event, the crowd, the media quotes, why not the result?

To be honest I doubt Fury wjll dare to go anywhere near a rematch with Ngannou.

No, dont get me wrong. I'm not suggesting that francis threw the fight. What I'm suggested is that the fight was staged. But once again, I'm more interested about your opinions, not about mine.

You think that it is normal too. That it is what a mma champion would normally do in this situation. OK, good to know.

I always got to laugh at the crowd that has never boxed or watched boxing for more than 5 years claiming a fight is fixed every weekend because the two guys didnt go smash eachother like two battlerobots like he expected.

Really..? Just an off night for Fury, yeah? But Usyk schools Dubois and idiots start shouting that he was "knocked out" by an illegal low blow. Bull****. Fury has been overrated, gifted and lucky forever.

    1) Fury vs Ngannou

Current WBC and Lineal HW champion (33-0-1, 24 KOs) gets knocked down and barely wins on judges' scorecards against 0-0 opponent (allbeit an elite MMA fighter) in a fight that was supposed to be an 'easy money' for Fury.

    2) Floyd vs Conor

A big embarassment of a fight when self-proclaimed TBE (49-0, 27 KOs) faces pro debutant with zero boxing skills. What is bad, it took him 10 rounds to stop overmatched McGregor. What is worse, Conor returned to MMA and got stopped 3 more times in 4 fights.

    3) JCC Jr vs Anderson Silva

JCC Jr, a former WBC Middleweight champion, got absolutely schooled by an 1-1 opponent in Anderson Silva. Silva, though a legend in MMA, was in his late 40s, 11 years older than JCC. And his last boxing fight occured like 20 years ago. He also got just 1 win at MMA in previous 8 years. Yet he dominated JCC Jr

Yes seems normal to me. Fury clearly wasn't on the verge of being knocked out, NGannou was banking a 10-8 round.

I think it's normal taking into account the points I raised

Francis cardio is unknown to himself, him gassing and getting KO would have been the worst outcome. He's blown his was before in the UFC going for the kill, gassed out and lost the fight

I think he was being patient

I will rewatch the fight at some point to have a better look at what you're talking about
