Uysk fight has never been planned for the 23rd and last night gave an excuse for it to be moved. Its March and always has been. This 23rd December talk in my opinion has always been about stopping uysk getting a cycle in. Np way fury would go off 1 12 week camp (though no one believes he has) into another 8 weeks he would be overtrained.

That last night was a fighter who had everything to win vs a fighter who was looing past this fight and disinterested. If anything it's the best thing that could happen to fury cos come the uysk fight he won't be overconfident.

As for ngannou if him and hearn had any brains they'd be talking now and arranging aj vs him for December 23rd knowing an aj win (which I think would happen easily) puts him straight on furys next fight list and a ngannou win puts him top 20 and able to fight for furys title next or uysk.

As others have said. He has to rematch and ko him or of course his rep is damaged.

Still thinks he beats Usyk but he’ll have to beat the Cameroonian after, simple as.

Maybe so but I was quoting fighters that are shot to bits that Ngannou would deal with, Huni is on the rise and is Hungary. Whyte Chisora and AJ are shot to bits and Francis would put a beat down on them all.

AJ v Ngannou is surely a nobrainer now?

Yep I think that’s going to happen now before any fight with Usyk. The sound bites from the WBC about ranking Ngannou and Warren casting doubt about December 23rd hints that that could be on the horizon and I’d love to see it tbh over 12.

Ngannou bullies AJ at will and makes him spit the gum shield with the first cuffing shot he throws.

His most hardcore fanbase will try to argue it away by hyping up Ngannou as the 2nd best fighter in the division, I see it happening already, but to everyone else he’s just been humiliated by a debutante. Nobody will compare him to any ATG’s again, and it will make more people question his barren record.

His only course of action is to rematch Ngannou and win in style, maybe pretend he was ill in the first fight or something.

A very logical and well thought out argument.

However, we're not dealing with a 'normal', level-headed, logical person in Tyson Fury. He is bipolar and clearly very mentally damaged, and because of this he changes his mind at the drop of a hat, says one thing then does another, sounds like a genius one day and a lunatic the next etc. Unless you're in his head and party to the negotiations it's impossible to say what the truth is. Sure, he's allowed his opinion and all of what he has said makes sense and is absolutely fair enough, but we are dealing with Tyson Fury here!

Massively embarrassing for himself and boxing. It also shows how shite puddings like Wilder, Whyte and Chisora must be. I guess this really is a terrible era of heavyweight boxing and Fury has just been the best of a very bad bunch. But now a real talent has come along in Usyk, coupled with the fact he has ruined himself with his lifestyle away from the ring, he knows his time is up.

Very much doubt Fury will fight him. I suspect another retirement and mental health sob story is coming.

The 23rd December date was only ever about delaying Usyk's mando against that Croatian fella. Warrenn said as much.
