Fury looking gassed after having 0 workrate and not using his jab was terrible. He looked drugged.

I don't think it was a show it was an end of life fighter, burning the candle at both ends meeting a wake up call.

I don't think he'll be able to walk away from that and not rematch Francis.

Crush Usyk then maybe give Francis another shot.

Curious, because gnannou looked as if he didnt want to KO fury when fury went down.

That was Francis being patient and not rushing in. He fought like a veteran pro fighter. He could see Fury wasn't badly hurt but yes he should have rushed Fury there. They were concerned about gassing out but he didn't.

 

Francis is a top level MMA striker, he is not just some guy off the streets that agreed to fight Fury.

 

Ngannou had the round in the bag 10-8 why risk anything,he even said himself a few times in interviews that Fury has great recovery powers and is more dangerous when he gets up. Ngannou simply did his homework and followed it perfectly .

 

This debutant was a well seasoned and very experienced world champion in MMA, right? Are you implying that this guy acted like that because this is the normal behavior in a MMA fight?

I dont usually watch MMA, maybe you are right and in MMA it is normal to KD a guy and not to throw anything more until the round ends. Is it like that?

 

I'm not sure what's gonna be a worse look for boxing... Fury's performance against a complete novice last night or when Fury beats Usyk after that!

 

If you're a professional athlete, you have to give your best in every game. Especially if you're carrying the honor of boxing on your back. Otherwise, you have to retire or die.

 

Like a veteran? I had never seen before a champion knocking down someone (not a slip) and throwing NOTHING more until the end of the round. I would appreciate some examples if you have them, since it is "what experienced veterans pro fighters" do.

 

I hope Fury doesn't duck and retire again.

 

Pretty sure Olek has a few more English words to his bow than he lets on - but I like it, keeps it simple and direct. Kostya Tszyu made good copy in a similar way. Olek is a very likeable dude.

 

Fury is super lucky he got out of the fight with 0 intact, although his rep is in bits.
