Yeah, would not be surprised if Fury or Usyk fight John Jones after their fight. That’s if Jones is not under a contract of some sort.

Fury having a close fight with Ngannou might be good for the sport. Or Ufc is going to have to pay their stars more to keep them from crossing over to boxing to make more money.

Everybody should be welcome to boxing. All of them, youtubers, mma fighters, judo fighters, sumo fighters, tenis players, football players, basketball players, guys with a phd in physics, guys who cant even read...... and may the best man be the champion.

You’re right , Fury does usually fight to the level of his opposition and the way he looked last night had two questions for me?

    1. he didn’t take it seriously AT ALL
    2 he is declining rapidly

Me personally , I feel he didn’t take it too seriously and his physical appearance and his performance suggest that a lot. Plus Francis did so much better than anyone could have possibly anticipated and he wound up making Fury play it safe for the entire fight. One thing is for sure if he doesn’t get himself prepared properly for Usyk he will lose. So hopefully last night was a wake up call for him to not cut corners and overlook anyone.

Jake Paul has knocked out a few ufc names. They generally are not good boxers. Fury's horrible Ngannou display doesn't change that overnight

I can't defend this ****.. no one can.. the sport has been humiliated. Warren scored a massive own goal. Fury has embarrassed boxing & ruined his entire legacy. Ngannou didn't even do anything special hes basic & slow .. Joshua would probably bang him out .. Fury is done, stick a fork in him..

    Fury will make good.

But Francis has to wait whilst the champs deal with their business.

Then Fury can retire off making right a wrong in a Francis rematch

He got his reality check. The problem occurs if he feels like he trained hard and came on form which he didn't because he was gassed and didn't jab at all.

It was completely deserved after years of stupid circus fights that should never have happened. Guys with 0-0 boxing records being put in PPV main events etc and those being some of the most high profile fights in the sport.

McGregor actually had a pretty good kicking game. It was the way he blended his taekwondo skills and his boxing together that made him so dangerous in MMA. He mixed in spinning back kicks, wheel kicks, hook kicks, side kicks to the knee, left roundhouse kicks to the head, snapping front kicks, etc. It was leg kicks that really won him the second Diaz fight for example. He could use elbows from the clinch very effectively. He was quite well rounded at one point.

Ngannou's game, on the other hand, was like 95% based around his brawling/power punching boxing style. He had just enough takedown defense to hold off some grapplers and the barebones of a jiu-jitsu game. But he was the definition of one-dimensional.

Mercer also quit after 24 seconds in a kick-boxing match. He got kicked one time and flat out quit.

Who will pay? Plenty of people in the UK & US.

Who will want to fight him? AJ won't. Wilder might.

He doesn't demand big money either so that's not a hurdle to make any fights.

Throw him in the deep end with a puncher? build him up some more?

Time is not on his side. Might as well throw the dice.

Or wait for a Fury rematch which will big if not bigger than last night. Fury will come with the right gameplan though. Pure outboxing. No silly games. Work the jab. Or is he really shot for good now?

Maybe Ruiz Jnr. That could do ppv to the casuals and ufc fanboys although I doubt many will want to fight him.

    I was thinking Ruiz Jr.

We'd find out how real Francis's power really is with little Andy walking into him. Way for Ruiz to boost his profile. They just need the money men.

I'd expect Ruiz to get inside and do the damage like he did on Ortiz. Ngannou is still an unknown quantity but he doesn't have huge volume or foot speed. Ruiz can definitely go in and out.
