Francis handled all the clinches and breaks like a pro against Fury. Ruiz needs that mid range gap which Francis won't give to him. Francis will just trade and he could come out on top. Fury couldn't test that chin. Ruiz isn't a big banger though either.

World champions don’t make excuses but not taking an opponent seriously or not training hard is never an acceptable excuse. That performance was a disgrace. His choice of a novice opponent was a money grab but losing to that kind of opponent was gasoline on the fire. Fury deserves every ounce of criticism he receives. I can’t think of a pro boxer I despise more at the moment.

I wonder if it's the usual business with Fury underperforming because of underestimating the opponent or something deeper than that.

Ngannou started his combat sports adventure with boxing and being in mma he kinda never lost contact with it. I just saw clips from the fight but I was surprised because he didn't look awkward at all in there (like McGregor did with Floyd). For all we know he can be a real talent and that fight won't be so shocking in hindsight.

Nobody would want to fight Ngannou except for Usyk.

Think furys committed the cardinal sin for me...I hate all this crossover shite, won't watch it and sure as **** won't pay for it...will watch some highlights if I hear there was something unexpected or a big knockout..but for the most part ..it's a circus.

Furys done the worst thing possible..not only has he come in looking like a bag of **** who hasnt trained with zero respect for his opponent....the worst thing is he shoulda got beat on points..which is the general consensus.. honestly it'd have been better for him if he got koed in the 3rd... knockouts happen...outboxed by a novice has given the mma fans that ammo they've wanted for years to say...ooooh boxings a myth because blah blah blah... And furys opened that door...his reputation is in tatters

    He is a real talent.

4 months boxing training. He wasn't throwing wild punches. He positioned himself well. He is flat footed but doesn't matter when you're counterpunching and your opponent is failing to work his long range.

The guy was composed. His form was good. He was quick. He didn't gas out. He was super calm. He handled the clinchwork BETTER than Fury and Fury is the best clincher in boxing. His MMA career working a treat.

Looked like Fury was hoping Francis would gas and he could bully him and it was the total opposite. Was left trying to box long but didn't looked prepared for it at all. No jab.

How do you know AJ "won't fight him"? Your own brain farts do not compute as being a fact.

Wish he'd go back to MMA and fight Jon Jones, but he'll probably do **** all for 6-12 months then rematch Fury.

Ruiz hits harder than Fury and has more volume. I'm not buying into Ngannou just yet, he did well against a very poor Fury granted but it's still just one 10 round fight. Bakole or Mak on the undercard would put him away - in my opinion

If you didn't notice the Saudi's are buying up Las Vegas events and they are happy to pay for them. Even the Saudi's buying out all the advertising in vegas to promote their own events! embarrassing. America is dead. Wait for the economic drop in 2024. People say boxing is dead, no the world economy is about to die from years of corruption greed fake wars and fake pandemics. 3 years it's taken for the blowback. It effects everything including sporting events.

The funny money has ran out

& only the Saudi's have a pot of cash to pay out.

AJ is far more likely to take it than Wilder.

Wilder runs and hides behind mummy from fringe contenders like Dillian Whyte and poops the bed when poppa Povetkin comes knocking... He's not going to take a fight with a bloke who's just embarrassed the man who took his soul.

Realistically though I'm not sure Francis would be up for either of them just yet.

Said in another thread, but I think Dubois would be an interesting one... It's probably about the right level to build from at a full length fight for FN, a good one for DDD to start rebuilding a reputation from, and it'd ask interesting questions of both men.
