I would love to see Ngannou make the full time switch to boxing. He can obviously hang so why not make some money over here?

Plenty of boxing matches are won by people who visually look like they took more damage

    That's not a marker.

Fury came out of the 1st Wilder fight looking worse for wear but he outboxed him.

Francis wants to be a boxer. That was his original dream but because the French are soft and don't have the facilities they told him to do MMA instead and that's why he ended up where he is.

After seeing how poorly the UFC pay and McGregor making crossover fights he found his path to boxing and he will compete here for the next 3 years atleast. He wants to be HW champ, that's not a pipedream that's his immediate goal and he's proven it's possible for him.

Part of it is that he's an MMA fighter who practices wrestling.

Yes Francis out clinched probably the best clincher in HW history in Fury.

It was impressive. He totally spun it round on Fury. Fury was the one getting leant on, head locked and even out positioned in close. It was quite a site.

It really shows how this area is so weak for all our HW boxers. Fury has mastered this well beyond his peers and all it took was one MMA guy who is clearly a special talent to outgame Fury here. We're not talking just match Fury, He actually beat him at his own game and they clearly prepared for it.

The only thing I really want to know is why Fury didn't use his jab. Afraid Francis was going to come over it is my only thoughts but that's something Fury shouldn't have to even worry about given his level. He was hoping Francis would bite on the feints but he didn't.

Ngannou is 270lbs + of muscle and he wrestles, Belly is 270lbs + of flab

An in shape Belly would be 240lbs

MMA fighters are much physically stronger than boxers

It's funny because Fury manhandled Chisora/Whyte/Wilder like they were little schoolchildren then Francis got in there and almost did the same to Fury.

Fury is lucky big bang Zhang is extremely static and has stamina issues.

Joe Joyce is a threat to Fury. Fury loses to Joyce everyday of the week fighting at that workrate. Poor.

Fury's movement and stamina is what separates him

& more worrying than his movement last night was his stamina was GONE. Francis looked fresher.

Trying to grapple with a man with 15 years of wrestling experience. The funny thing is Fury took a couple of shots at it to realize, this is a BAD idea.

Fury gracious in defeat and that he didn't want to hear what Hearn had to say is completely understandable.

Sucks, lots of untapped potential in France with all the Africans there.
Could be a great boxing nation.

Look at this idiot with his black eye after being put on the canvas by a guy with zero pro-fights in front of every single boxing legend alive in the world.

How much is it worth his name in a fighter's resume today? NOTHING. Fury is now nothing but the guy who was used like a mop by someone with zero fights.

What a ****ing legacy, he better got payed well, what a clown

And what does daddy fury think about his clown son now? I remember when people said that if tommy fury lost vs the youtuber he could not go back home because daddy fury wouldnt allow him to. Now what? now that his tyson boy has been used like a mop in front of every ****ing boxing legend, now what?

**** off. Usyk should move on, and **** fury.

Part of it is at a certain point in competitive sport genetics trump all. He's 6'4", 272 lbs while being chiseled out of marble insanely strong with decent cardio. Athlete's like that exist in other sports but they tend to not get into combat sports as their evident gifts get them pulled early on towards other sports.

At an age when kids in the west would be chaperoned to soccer/football practice he was digging in sand mines in Africa. It's sheer luck a natural freak talent like that found his way into combat sports.

True. There are potential topliners in other parts of the world too.
