He is inconsistent. If he would fight he same openent 5 times he would probably but in one very bad performance. But he would also put in one great performance.
Fury fought a world class fighter, a fighter that was not used to the rules and regulations of pro boxing but is very well used to the actual fighting !! Very well used to having hands threw at him and landing punches at fighters... Which is what matters more !! You are denying that.
Yeah he seemed pretty average in that third fight. Ngannou was a different customer, for sure. Perhaps he's more skilled than Wilder Fury should have done better. I think he underrated him and thought he could just cruise to an easy win.
Dude, I like the avatar. Never thought I’d say this but that Chimp looks familiar. Anyone I should know?
Why not? At his absolute best, Povetkin was a roided, high work rate, mobile, hard punching and highly effective finisher. The blue print for beating Pov was shown by Vlad Klit but, VK should've been penalised out of the ring given the amount of fowling he did and in my humble opinion, Povetkin was the best HW around barring the Klitschko's.
I didn't "seem to claim to be an expert on his dedication", that's just your incorrect interpretation. I applied common sense is all. The third Wilder fight is three years ago and he's had two fights since which are more recent and obviously better barometers. He purposely came in heavier to try and bully Wilder, it was the gameplan. The Wilder fights were actually for world titles and he knew Wilder is one of the most dangerous punchers ever, particularly after the first fight. It's not in the same stratosphere as a 10 rounder for no title against a debutant. Regarding the third Wilder fight, the likes of David Haye came out before the fight and said he looked ill prepared and might lose. There were reports coming out a couple of months prior to the match that sparring partners were beating him up. So it's up in the air. I only look around Classic and can't remember seeing anyone over here claiming to the the GOAT. They are the opinions i value. The jury is still out on Fury, for me. How good is Wilder? We need to see him vs a Joshua, a Usyk, even a Chang. It's late in the piece and the likes of him, Usyk, Wilder and perhaps Joshua still need to get some business done to cement their standings. Unfortunately they are all getting old (not Joshua) and to the point where they may well decline noticeably overnight. This is going to make it potentially hard to fully grasp the eventual results and there are going to be too many theories to count. Ngannou, yeah it would be great to see him have a settler and then a bigger bout, i agree.
