Hmm, kind of feels like Fury has just killed off a lot of interest in that fight.

He just (nearly) lost to a novice. Probably should forget about the WBC belt. Better to ask Bowe if he still has that trash can lying about.

This is just a payday for Usyk now. Fighting Fury next is a duck of legitimate challengers like Hrgovic and Zhang.

 

You are missing the obvious difference:

With Fury and Warren, Fury talks all the garbage and Warren just follows along.

With Joshua and Hearn, Hearn talks all the garbage and Joshua just follows along.

It's much worse when the promoters are leading the fighters on a merry dance and taking advantage of them. They're not the ones getting their faces punched in by Francis Ngannou.

If it DOES happen then my money would still be on Fury. Quite a strange situation here - the novice boxer was probably a bigger problem stylewise for Fury than Usyk would be (who did brilliantly and Francis deserves a shot at the title when all the dust has settled. His performance the other night warrants a top 10 placing by the WBC) Fury knows he looked bad this time out and his pride and ego will motivate him to do much better next time.

I'd still wanna see fury v usyk, madness saying it's not worth it cos of that. Just like I still wanna see him fight AJ and wilder fight AJ, and then all fight Zhang etc. There no Ali or Tyson but there the top fellas of there era could have a load of entertaining battles

Maybe Tyson had an off night or he's slipped, or maybe ngannou is just the ultimate male and fury is the ultimate meatball as thunder lips once says
