Of course he's still in the top 5. One bad night doesn't change that and Ngannou may frank the form in his next boxing fight. How I see it in order: Usyk Fury Wilder Zhang Joshua
Right now, absolutely no way. Not even top 10. He was just knocked down and lost to a 37-year-old MMA guy with zero boxing experience. That’s absolutely unheard of, UFC fans rightfully laugh at boxing as a sport now.
That’s a true Fury fan way of distorting facts and lying about things. Zhang had kidney and liver problems as well as anaemia before and during that fight. Shouldn’t even have walked in a park bed let alone boxed in that condition. But sure, big Forrest up for looking better in the ring than a man who literally should have been in hospital instead.
Not justifying Fury's performance but that MMA guy started out as a boxer before switching disciplines. He then dominated the UFC heavyweight division using his fists most of all. He's a top fighting man and would demolish most heavyweight boxers in the top 20.
I don't think so. That's why it was so shocking. Ngannou gave a very good account of himself, but he was still as slow as molasses with his feet and hands as well. Fury should have made him look like what he is: a debutant. Maybe Ngannou beats some of the bottom half of the top 20 but demolishing most of the top 20? Absolutely impossible.
This doesn't say much. Adeleye is maybe top 50, nothing more than that, and was chinned by the first somewhat decent guy he ever fought. Whyte is a spent force, a has-been with multiple brutal KO defeats and a terrible punch resistance these days. I wouldn't put him in the top 10 at all. In any case, even if Ngannou would chin Adeleye and Whyte (he very well could, I agree), that's still an extremely long shot of your original statement of "would demolish most heavyweight boxers in the top 20".
