Boxing fans are so fickle. Just 3 years ago I remember Usyk was completely written off at Heavyweight after a bad performance against Chisora. He didn't enjoy it at all having Chisora walking forwards swinging at him.

It's similar with Fury now. He clearly underestimated Ngannou a lot and looked terrible as a result.

The reality is these are big guys with different styles and huge power and sometimes 1 punch or a certain style will make you look bad.

Fury is still a top heavyweight, probably number 1. If he fought Ngannou again he'd take him more seriously, lose weight and use his speed and movement to comfortably win on points.

Next time he's in the ring I'll think he'll look much better. Might actually suit him a bit to be written off.

He could win 20 In a row and nothing will erase the fact that he lost and got put on his backside by an mma guy making his debut

Beating usyk, franics in a rematch and Aj will never erase Saturday night. Fury got beaten by a novice

Fury and the WBC got totally exposed by a guy with 0 boxing experience who can only throw 20 punches per round.

Been obvious for years that Fury ducked AJ and Usyk, now its just been made absolutely clear .

Only the brainmelts will continue to believe the Fury myth, despite all the real boxing fans screaming I told you so.

I really don't think so, man. He looked bad in the third Wilder fight, but managed to gut it out. The Whyte fight and especially the third Chisora fight were even worse. His legs are gone. His multipurpose jab, his feints, his lateral movement, his head movement, etc. It's all gone.

Fury didn't just abuse his body. He dumped gasoline into a trash fire. People forget that this guy, who was already fat to begin, ballooned up to near morbid obesity. How many fighters have been utterly ruined by going up in weight and then coming back down? And those guys were in tremendous physical condition and in peak fighting form. It's a miracle he managed to come back to a world class level, but it also shows the state of modern heavyweight boxing that he was able to. That's not even touching on the damage he's inevitably done to him with his alcoholism and substance abuse issues. Or his laziness in training.

I just can't see him coming back from this.

It was a **** performance by a Champion in his twilight years but people are acting like Ngannou has never has never thrown a punch before.

He's a seasoned fighter who trains to hit people and was a lot better than anybody expected.

Not excusing Fury's lacklustre appearance - he clearly overlooked him as a serious opponent but we've seen him put in bad performances against 'lesser' opponents and rise to the occasion for championship fights.

I think he smashes AJ still and 50/50 with Usyk

Unless he gets his fat arse in the gym and out of those silk PJs and Netflix docs, he wont.

Saturday should be a wake up call, or he should just retire.

    Lets see.

    1. Usyk beat Chisora by 9-3 (or 8-4 at the worst), hardly a bad performance
    2. Chisora's an experienced pro boxer, not an MMA boxing novice
    3. It was Usyk's second fight at HW

And Fury beat Chisora a lot more comfortably than Usyk did.

    Maybe Usyk wouldn't beat Ngannou?

Or probably more likely that Fury just didn't take Ngannou as seriously as he should have.

As I said, he'll bounce back.

If that was just a one punch KD, he could have easily bounced from that. But Ngannou mopped the entire floor with him.
Fury needed to cheat, landing elbow, and constantly holding, and was still smashed to pieces.

He needed corrupt judges again to gift him the win, he 100% didn't deserve.
He was outboxed by a f**** MMA guy, who doesn't have cardio for more than 1 MMA round for god sake.

Ngannou is terrible, and if he fight someone decent, aka AJ, Zhang, Usyk, and hell even someone decent from top 10, he is going to get destroyed.

Let's not forget all the Boxing Legends were there, and with Fury fragile ego, he is as good as done in the Boxing ring.

I won't exclude him retiring. He was made a laughing stock by Ngannou.
And all the talk before the fight add as well. Him and his s**** promoter claiming he is the best ever, just fuel more. Absolutely pathetic.

In what universe was Usyk v Chisora "similar to Fury now" with Ngannou?

First things first I don't know what "didn't enjoy" means. Usyk at a bare minimum won 8-9 rounds lol.

So on one hand, we have Usyk having his 2nd heavyweight fight ever against a former top 10 ranked heavyweight in Chisora, in a fight that he ended up winning one sidedly...

On the other hand, we have Fury getting knocked the **** down by an opponent that's never had a professional boxing match in his ****ing life in Ngannou and only ended up scraping by a close decision.

And you think these two things are similar:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

    Nonsense.
