Ah that explains why Fury was able to maul and lean on Wallin despite taking a whooping from him. Chisora and Whyte are both short plodders. Fury would've gotten found out the same way Joyce did if he took the Zhang fight
Whyte, Wallin, and Chisora isn't much already. Whyte had just been knocked unconscious by a geriatric, Chisora has one ok win, Wallin none.
His resume is poor. No need for Chisora 3 or Wilder 3. Pianeta fight was a joke so was Schwartz and Seferi. Honestly ending Wlad’s run is impressive but Wlad was 39. Wilder can’t box but he can punch with his right hand. First Chisora fight is ok. Cunningham was good fighter but didn’t prove it at heavy. Whyte for some reason looked like he couldn’t fight at all in their bout. Old Wlad, Wilder, Whyte, Chisora, Cunningham. Wallin is good but probably wasn’t supposed to be. I have Fury rated just ahead of Bowe. Bowe has much better win over prime Holyfield but a thin resume too at least Fury has faced some monster punchers Wlad, wilder and good punchers like Whyte. Top 25 heavyweight
Another lame, wind-up, anti Fury thread Seriously Fury is carrying the HW div. here on BF24. I mean for how many more years can we have threads on when/ if/ how AJ will fight Wilder?? Hey, hours ago saw a YT short where Wilder was calling out AJ. Not sure how fresh it is... How will Eddie respond? Will AJ need to fight another tune up? Stay tuned !
It’s ok. The Wlad and wilder wins are excellent. A chisora trilogy and Whyte not so much. Last Saturday was disastrous though. Wilder’s stock has been hotter than hell the last few months, and Ngannou was never remotely in trouble against the guy who really walked down and starched Wilder twice. Obviously boxing doesn’t work like that, but when you put it that way it’s damning. I’d be surprised if Fury doesn’t retire soon. I don’t think I’d be overly confident of any historical champ going 3-0 against Usyk/Zhang/Hrgovic let alone a 35 year old who has abused their body and almost dropped a decision to a debutant. Even AJ is quite a dangerous fight currently.
I don't know, probably for about as long as we have threads on when/if Fury will ever fight Usyk/AJ/Zhang/Joyce/Hrgovic....
It's ok is a very fair assesment. The Wlad win, whilst ugly and IMHO not Wlad at his best is still a very credible win and one plenty have failed trying to get. Wilder... Not so convinced, yes he hits hard (though IMHO overrated a bit there) but his resume is thinner than a gnats ****, he gets a lot of hype because fans of the heavies in particular tend to love harder punchers and plenty of KO's... It's an okay trilogy for the collection, but it's not something you'd want to hang your reputation on. Whytes resume is quite a bit better than Wilder's, but he was already ruined by the time Fury fought him - still a decent win, but nothing special either. I guess the best way to sum up Fury is he's overrated and overhyped... That doesn't mean he's a bum, he's not, but when you're hyped up quite as much as he has been it's very easy to be overrated and overhyped.
Anyone who says that Fury bests the very best Bowe DKSAB. Bowes trilogy with Holyfield is in my humble, the greatest trilogy in boxing history. Holyfield has a strong claim to being a HW ATG and Bowe was his only real Nemesis. That Bowe would have smashed last Saturday's Fury to bits and in a prime H2H......toss of a coin.
****ing real bad Let salt and pepper tell you straight Fury get from this With francis pushing in your shyte ****ing real bad
Fine. I don't rank pointless rematches that no-one asked for. Better? Fine. I don't rank hugely controversial life and death SDs against Cameroonian wrestlers with a 0-0-0 record. Better?
Joshua beats him on all those counts. Aggressive Wlad with nothing to lose whom he brutally KOed Top of the line Povetkin whom he KOed for the first time ever Hyper-aggressive undefeated Whyte (another brutal KO, far better than Fury's) Jab master Pulev Wonderfully underrated Carlos Takam (who taught Ngannou everything he knows in the boxing ring; this is tantamount to beating Fury himself) World champion sky high confidence Andy Ruiz Undefeated world champ Joseph Parker Undefeated world champ Charles Martin who took Jared Anderson to the brink and knocked Ortiz down with a jab Tricky slickster Jermain Franklin Iron chin power puncher Dominic Breazeale Power punching upset merchant Robert Helenius Brutal KO of ultra slippery Kevin Johnson Plus he's been in there twice with Usyk and more than held his own. Tremendous athlete and amazing resume. Who are the three biggest punchers of all time he fought?
"I don't rank pointless rematches that no-one asked for" Fury didn't want the trilogy apparently but Wilder went to court to get it after it had apparently expired. Wilder 3 is a far better win than beating a short light punching plodder like AJ-conqueror Andy Ruiz, who has performed worse against every notable Wilder mutual opponent, usually worse versions (Morales, Liakhovich, Arreola, Ortiz). Lewis and Wlad wouldn't have got through 3 Wilder fights away from home without losing at least once judging from their records against far shorter, less athletic, less determined and less accomplished punchers. "I don't rank life and death SDs against Cameroonian wrestlers with a 0-0-0 record" Ngannou is a puncher first and foremost, the world record holder on a punching machine with 14-15 years striking experience, boxing and MMA. It's a win that's going to age well. He'll clobber Chisora, demolish Joyce and have a great chance against Wilder or Joshua (who will probably duck him).
