Fury should be stripped...................no more games.

Usyk should be fighting Zhang, Hrgovic or Wilder for Fury's vacant title. I'm pretty sure Wilder (for some reason) is #1 for the WBC anyway so it at least that way lines up.

Note: I don't think Wilder is more deserving of a shot than Zhang or Hrgovic, I'm just going by mandatory etc......

Agreed. Except Ngannou was better than expected. Did you see the worried look on his face after the knockdown? He was freaking out about losing that fat Usyk money. So he tried to do the usual mauling tactics he likes against the smaller men but turns out he's a giant ***** when he fights guys his own size. When that didn't work he resorted to doing the bare minimum to win while taking no risks.

I'm surprised Usyk signed a contract that allows Fury to mess him about like this.

I couldn't agree more. Even if they weten't famous, they would be that family that everybody in the mall looks at.

It seems like Fury is still having nightmares of Ngannou. Don’t be shocked if Fury continues to postpone it and make Usyk wait longer.

The December 23rd date was always dependent on how Fury came through the Ngannou fight. The point was made often enough pre-fight, by everybody including Arum and Warren, that it can't come as a shock to anybody now that the date is in doubt.

If the fight goes ahead I think Fury will retire win or lose. If he wins his parting shot would be to scatter the belts so it could.be years before it's undisputed again leaving him not only the 1st but the last 4 belt holder for a few years, he'd love that bragging right. If he loses, we'll he's just a big mardy baby and he'd storm.off into retirement wouldn't he.

Bit of a bummer, but I said the night of that the fight being harder than anticipated would cause this. Kinda sucks because I wanted to have an undisputed champion by the end of the year, but I feel like this could result in a much better fight happening. Usyk is my favorite fighter and who I back to win, but I don't want him to get a win over the version of Fury we saw over the weekend. Where's the glory in that? Even one dimensional Wilder probably beats that version.

Hopefully father time hasn't taken another W just yet and the Fury we saw over the weekend was just a result of not taking his training serious. After 20+ years without an undisputed fight, the first one oughta be between two guys in the best condition they can be in. Sure, you'll have people who say "Usyk was too small and old to be a real threat anyways" or "Meh, Fury already lost to an MMA fighter and had a thin resume anyways." Wins will get discredited no matter the circumstances, that's unfortunately unavoidable with these big fights. Regardless of those ensuing criticisms, at least you can say both guys will have had ample time to come in as their best selves.

Arum warned of the possibility back in early October :

“It depends primarily on Fury’s condition after this Ngannou fight,” Arum said. “If Fury emerges with no hand problems, no cuts and so forth, it’ll be earlier rather than later. But it’ll be in the winter. It’ll be in the winter and will be certainly before Ramadan.”

(Ramadan begins March 10th hence the new date being February)

I'd actually forgotten all about that til you quoted it, and it's prolly the main thing I was drawing on when I said that  I was pretty dismissive of the idea til about round 3, largely because like everyone else I figured it would be a walkover for Fury. Also in part because I didn't want anything to further delay the undisputed fight.

But I can't be too disappointed. I did say I wanted Francis to come with intentions of making it interesting, and suffice to say he did that. Even if we didn't get undisputed, at least we got another interesting fight at Heavyweight in a year desperately needing them :D

Fury continually screwing with this fight. First time around he’s a coward, now he got beat up by an MMA fighter. The guys a loser.
