Being stopped by Baby Butterbean is the worst ever.

Review the footage of both fights.

The Joshua defeat will be number 1 on Boxing's funniest moments for years to come.

    "Getting stopped"

You mean spitting out your gumshield, sagging on the ropes and quitting against a morbidly obese light punching Mexican midget.

"Fury’s performance is the most embarrassing in heavyweight history."

Ngannou's about to clobber a few name heavies, the performance (as shocking as it was) is going to age very well.

Sounds like you're coping. Ngannou loses to any decent heavyweight. He was gassed after round 4.

My eyes must be deceiving me - it was Fury who was hugging for dear life after any exchange!!!

Whyte was gassing against Fury after round 2. Chisora after a few rounds as well. Joshua was gassing after the 3rd round against Pulev of all people.

Fury needed a wake up call. We saw something similar with Wallin, followed by a top 2 career performance.

Define "decent heavyweight". Would a non-weight cutting Okolie, Chisora, Whyte or top 10 Ring ranked Joyce qualify? Matched properly, Ngannou is going to have plenty of success.

Ngannou is an extremely heavy, explosive athlete and was fighting the No.1 heavyweight in his boxing debut so it's no surprise he had stamina issues. But he sustained a powerful attack in round 8 and also won round 7 by consensus. He went 10 rounds without being noticeably hurt at any point, so his engine (like Zhang's) can't be as bad as many claim.

It was shocking how easily Ngannou hit Fury in the infight situations. In the eighth round, Fury was shaken several times and the normal, so sure of victory radiance was completely gone.

I have a lot of respect for Tyson Fury but he didn't win the fight.

Some desperate stuff trying to downplay what happened at the weekend. Losing to a 37 year old debutante is the biggest upset the sport has ever seen. It humiliated the sport and confirmed MMA’s superiority in most peoples eyes. Boxing as a sport got knocked down a few pegs in terms of prestige. Now fans of other sports will always look at boxers and wonder if they’re actually anything special. It’s not even comparable to losing to a little fancied contender like Ruiz, that is something that sometimes happens.

I think that's what people are failing to grasp. This is a massive L for boxing. I'm convinced thus wouldn't happen at lower weights but the casuals or MMA fans don't care about that.

We need a few more of these crossovers so boxing can get some credit back.

Hopefully we get Fury vs Usyk and Ngannou fights Joshua. Ngannou wouldn't last 6 rounds with Joshua.

Ah yes, the great Anthony Joshua. He would blast anybody out inside 6.

Can’t decide which is more embarrassing, AJ quitting or all of Wilder’s embarrassing excuses. Both are equally bad.

I see you are struggling to accept reality, Fury just got dropped by an 0-0 boxer and went life and death. Ngannou was better than advertised but he’s so slow and is not an elite level guy in boxing. The performance by Fury was the most embarrassing in the history of the division.

You can’t keep making excuses when things don’t fit your narrative and agenda.

Ruiz is a professional boxer who has trained all his life.

Ngannou had 0 professional fights yet still nearly beat Fury after the months of smack talking he had done and ducking the Usyk fight.

Fury’s reputation is tarnished forever and he’s a disgrace to the division.

Getting nearly beaten by a novice after claiming you are the best ever is far far more embarrassing than AJ’s loss.

If AJ had been the one who got dropped by Ngannou you would be saying different. Truth is Fury’s reputation is in the mud for good, sorry if you can’t accept that.
