No Bowes condition was worse. Fury honestly just bullshitted all of you resume and performance all together. His weight midfight wasn't too high. He just underestimated Ngannou, but even so it shouldn't have happened any for obvious resons. Furys "win" will always be worse than Bowes "wins" over Golota because Ngannou is literally an mma fighter who was 0-0 in boxing That's inexcusable. Bowe didn't make the sport boxing look horrible. Fury did
You're right. Holyfield became more strategic and less prone to getting into brawls. It showed against Tyson.
Bowe was a very good HW no doubt but I think he’s a bit overrated. Very good jab, right hand, left hook but he could only fight one pace and in one direction. If the opponent showed him a little movement he could be made to look very bad (Holyfield 2, Donald, Tubbs). Fury at his best had excellent movement for a big man, feints that would throw off the timing of most opponents and very hard to land clean head punches. I think Bowe would have struggled mightily to get to Fury into the wheelhouse for one of his trademark short uppercuts and spent most of the fight following him around the ring getting potshoted.
Not sure how you can say Bowe's condition was worse. Fury was morbidly obese in the presser before the Ngannou camp and still a tub of lard at the weigh in. He's an 18 stone fighter carrying 2 stones of blubber. Bowe was in sub par shape but was no excuse for his displays vs B class Golota. A guy who never won a strap and was knocked out 6 times by various names afterwards. Pretty certain Fury would deal with Golota likewise and by logical extension Bowe, at the least 96 Bowe who was still only 29. The Fury of the Wlad fight is above any version of Bowe and probably Wilder 2.
That wasn't his condition in the ring. The fact that he was obese in the press proved he just didn't take Ngannou seriously. Fight night his weight was fine Bowe despite the bad performance does not come close to the shameful crap Fury showed against a 0-0 mma fighter. This isn't even debatable. Fury went life and death with Ngannou. What makes you think he'd beat Golota comfortably ?
Not fine by me. He was in the same condition as he was for for Wilder3, which is poor. Blowing up between fights is why Fury is now shot. You are maybe making the same mistake as Fury regards Ngannou. The guy is clearly teak tough and can land a punch. Anyway, I don't rate Bowe above Fury. Bowe has one name on his sheet, Fury has 2. He's going into another one in Feb. We'll see if he then has 3 names on his sheet to Bowe's 1. Bowe who was retired by a B class trucker.
And yet he beat Wilder in that same condition so no excuses. Dominated him apart from the knockdowns and round 1 That B Class trucker would trash Ngannou so again there is no debate here 0-0 mma fighter. You cannot be serious
You are the one claiming Bowe > Wilder on the basis of one fight: Ngannou. Bowe who was retired at 29 by a B class trucker and has 1 name on his sheet - a name he also lost to btw. Pure speculation on your part Golota walks through Ngannou. Until we have more evidence on Ngannou that claim lacks any substance and by extension Bowe > Fury. The only evidence we do have is he contentiously lost an SD to the current lineal champion which is a better display than Golota ever managed in the sport. It's my opinion Fury would deal with Bowe with room to spare.
35 is still prime age for a Heavyweight. Fury looks declined because of his history of drug abuse, alcohol abuse, lazy training and eating too much food. He has destroyed himself. In a few years he will be out of boxing, blown up to 400 pounds and 150 pounds over fighting weight. Will probably be sat on a pub stool making a fool of himself speaking gibberish. Such a low class and uncouth man. Proves you can take the man away from the precariat's, but you can't take the precariat out of the man.
By this logic Golota giving Bowe problems means he beats Fury, and the notion makes more sense than yours because Golota legit wipes the floor with Ngannou in every aspect besides power and strength Ngannou is crap. The fact that you mentioned him giving Fury problems as evidence shows to me you're lowkey grasping Bowe and half of his entire opposition would beat Ngannou. It wont be speculation anymore when he gets dominated by gatekeepers. At this point, Bowe might have a better record, especially having fought in a tougher era
I'd expect earlier 90s Bowe to stop Ngannou but his resume is still light on names and the B class trucker did retire him young. He benefited from Mike in prison and ducked Lewis so tougher era meh. He feasted on lesser lights and wash ups aside from Evan who he still lost to. Fury still has the greater talent and achievement even if he is a waster. We'll see on Ngannou. Jury still out. He's earned the right to be given the benefit of the doubt for sure.
B class is still leagues above Ngannou. Fury just didn't take it seriously and that's all on him. Any of the light names on Bowes list would batter Ngannou. We'll definitely wait and see but please my point is he'll definitely lose to low level fighters if he continues boxing. Furys performance was far worse, no matter how it's sliced
Dude, you don't know what level Ngannou is at yet ffs. He earned respect last weekend and the benefit of the doubt. His odds in his next fight will reflect that whoever it is. Btw Bowe had TWO bites at the Polish trucker. He was poor twice and retired at 29.
No that's Fury's fault. He didn't take Ngannou seriously. You claim Bowes performance to be worse yet he struggled with a better fighter than Ngannou if we look at resume before the fights happened. Ngannou was also an mma fighter. Bowes wins over Golota can't be worse than Fury's win over Ngannou. We can wait and see but my point still stands
They can be worse because Ngannou might go and win marquee fights. Who knows. What we know for real is we saw Golota against Lewis in his next outing. Just as well for Bowe he did retire going by that pasting.
