3 strong chances of winning medals at 2020, these 3 are the future stars of the GB squad imo. Could easily see 1 or 2 of these picking up Gold in 2020.
I went to the GB boxing event at EIS last December where Dalton and French boxed. Dalton is a huge talent, I know people who used to train at the same gym and have been talking about him from about 4-5 years ago so it's good to see he's getting the chances he deserves! On the EIS show i think he was so relaxed the ref even told him to stop showboating hahaha French was in a good fight too, might not be remembering it right but think he's fought and sparred with his opponent a few times so it was interesting to see, I liked his footwork and movement on the night and how he was able to get in and out but it was a good fight
Sorry to do a bump but only thread I could find on Callum French. Really good test for him on November 11 against Jeff Ofori in only his 5th fight. Great matchmaking. It's a shame Pat McCormack vs Peter Dobson got cancelled as Dobson is very good and it would have made a decent NxtGen card overall. U are joking aren't u. Far better test would of been ORegan. ORegan was up for it, French wouldn't take it. French is one if the guys EH was referring to in his recent interviews where he said,the lads that are wanting easy fights, we (MR) will let those fighters go. French is ex GB. Oforii is at best a keep busy fight. What happened to Cooper?
I think Jeff Ofori is decent and for his 5th fight I have no complaints. O'Regan has already had 10 fights to be fair so maybe after this one they get it on. It is a sizeable step up for his 5th fight to be honest - look at the opponents of some other fighters after their 5th / 6th fight. It's not against a journeyman to be fair. I believe Cooper pulled out with an injury.
I know ofori yes...they were going to make the fight with oregan a bit ago. Hopefully French Vs Oregan next. I know we've had this conversation before but French shouldn't be turning these fights down. Make no wonder EH is getting p*ssed off with all his contracted fighters
