Who looked the worst: Ali (Young), Bowe (Golota), or Fury (Ngannou)

Part of Bowe's problem was that Andrew boxed bloody brilliant.

 

Definitely Fury against Ngannou, a MMA fighter making his boxing debut.
At least Young and Golota were both world class heavyweights at the time.

 

Bowe showed a warriors heart and took a ton of punishment even dishing out a bit himself, the 2nd fight being one of the most memorable Heavyweight fights of all time so certainly not the worst.

Young if anything looked just as bad as Ali sticking his head of the ring and not really being able to take advantage of an out of shape lackluster Ali. A bad fight which neither fighter really came out looking that great

Fury vs Ngannou is by the far the worst atleast Young and Golota were top rated contenders of their era, Fury run away and boxed overly cautious after being floored by an MMA fighter and getting gift decision.

Fury/Ngannou is the biggest embarrassment in boxing history so it's a no brainer for me.

 

Another vote for Fury/Ngannou.

 

Easily Bowe. The punishment Golata gave him was absolutely horrendous in that first fight and in the second fight Bowes technique was gone, but he still packed a wallop and did a lot better.

 

Bowe, without any enigma, lost both fights without any controversy ... until the moment of disqualification; fair disqualification. And Bowe showed his heart.

You could say that was Golota's peak, right?

 

Bowe- as he got battered for much of the fight, so he fits the criteria best in the OP. Whereas, Ali got well outpunched and out-landed but got over the line due to Stevie Wonder, Helen Keller and David Blunkett scoring the fight, and Fury, while easily he most embarrassing of the three, probably deserved a draw at least.

 

I've only yet seen the so called highlights of Fury-Ngannou, but those were shockingly bad. Fury seemed clueless about what do to against a pro debutant. Bowe and Ali looked very bad as well, but Golota at least looked very good and Young did in spurts. Ngannou did very little from what I saw, mainly made Fury look very, very bad.

And it cannot be emphasised enough that he looked this bad against someone having his very first boxing fight, pro or amateur. So Fury-Ngannou for me.

 

That's more than enough mate, it's terrible.

 

If Ngannou tears through the division after this, the perception will change of course. Golota, it must be said, did little after Bowe, being blown out by both Lewis and Tyson, while Young did have some good performances, most notably the Foreman win.

 

Yeah it was bloody awful. Half the time Fury looked like he was a ringer. This fumbling,clumsy lump only bore facial (and stomach) resemblance to the swaggering,confident,skilled sure footed champion of recent years.

 

Furty looked like he won a competition, like a modern day Jim'll Fix it? I'm still a bit suspicious of it myself. I knew it wouldn't end in 1 or 2, as that would be farcical that be for the whole 'Boxing vs MMA' promotion; if it went the 10 Fury was always going to win, and Francis didn't look interested in following up after the knock down.

 

Yes indeed. I also detected a slight odour of the brown stuff about the event.
