Joe Cordina v Edward Vazquez in Monaco

Personally, I get flashbacks to boxing events during the corona period.

Matchroom probably gets paid well, but it feels a bit flat to watch a boxing event from Monaco.

 

Cordina against a light punching featherweight, an irresistible pairing!

 

Not really looking forward to the main event too much. Vazquez is very good and got robbed against Ray Ford but is a natural featherweight. Cordina looks tight at the weight and I reckon he has one big fight at 130 next year before moving up to 135. I wish he took the Barrett fight instead.

Excited for Guzman vs Ali II. I’m surprised Ali is the underdog even though she got stopped in their first fight. I have Ali winning on points.

It's a crap fight made to make Cordina look good with minimal risk of him getting sparked out.

You and the 6 people who liked your comment must be eating humble pie. This was a fantastic card - first two fights were competitive, an upset KO in a world title fight, and then Joe Cordina in a great world title fight that could have gone either way.

I can’t think of a better card this year to be honest as no fights were boring.

I’m going to have a day sesh and watch this card now, Cordina is brilliant always good to watch. Monaco is a strange place to have held the card, it’s crap there, absolutely nothing to do. I went there with work a couple of years back, we stayed about 2 hours then headed to Nice instead, it was great there.

Turned out to be a good close fight, I agreed with the verdict to Cordina.

Absolutely zero atmosphere at these Monte Carlo fight nights... you could hear a penny drop.
