Tough, tough question! Both had hearts as big as mountain s and fought like their life depended on it. Sorry but it's impossible for me to answer. Lol
I really don’t think they can be measured. Both men fought hard until they either won or were hopelessly beaten
Frazier definitely, Holyfield's well eventually ran dry plus he did kinda give up in some of his bouts.
Frazier got up 6 times against Foreman in their 1st fight and was on his feet when the fight was stopped.
Frazier gets my vote and by far because he actually had heart. The first and third Ali fights showed that in spades. Holyfield on the other hand....a drug cheat. In every single major fight he was in when he was in trouble, he went from losing in the middle of a fight to all of a sudden winning in dominating fashion. That sudden "look at Holyfields warrior heart" was more like a sudden rush of steroids kicking in. He could've had heart, but a lot its meaning got drowned out by the steroid accusations.
If one bites one of Frazier's ear taking a piece of it, one would die or loose an entire ear ourselves, before we successfully bite the other one afterwards. Enough said!
I agree. Neither showed any deficiency in heart. I admittedly voted for Frazier though because he's my favorite fighter.
I still don't know how that fight wasn't stopped after the first bite. I get that it was a massive fight and people would have been pissed after what they paid to see it. They might have even started a riot. But how do you let a fight continue when a fighter literally bites his opponent?
Very close but I think Frazier, based on the Ali and Foreman bouts. But again close. Both were real warriors.
Very hard to separate them. Maybe if I had to choose one, Holyfield gets the edge cos moving up to heavyweight he knew that he would be fighting an getting hit by bigger, stronger an harder hitting fighters than himself like Bowe, Lewis an Foreman. Frazier was fearless too but apart from Foreman he never fought anyone that could hit harder than himself or was notably stronger than him
