Good match up. Tszyu's pressure and power will eventually break Wright's guard allowing Tim to administer a beating late in the fight with a possible late stoppage or a 116-112 type decision for Tszyu.
Wright is LEVELS above Gausha who gave Tszyu all he could handle and even dropped him while being feather-fisted
Winky was never stopped in almost 60 fights. And he fought a lot of fighters who hit much harder than Tszyu and were better boxers
Gotta go with Winky. He was just better at most things, better defence, higher work rate, better jab etc. We really don't even know how good Tim Tszyu is right now, he's yet to prove himself even the best in his division yet, let alone be compared with a fighter who was regularly ranked as a top 10 P4P in his era.
You just said that a 20 fight prospect (because he is still a prospect) is gonna adminster a beating to a 60 fight HOF'er that was never stopped in his entire career let alone beaten down before despite having been in with some of the biggest hitters during his tenure? Someone who was only down in 2 fights in his 60 fight career (one of those being his absolute last fight)? There's nothing that Tim does better than Winky, like literally not one thing. He has better power but that isn't something he does better, he just has more power. Winky on jab, foot work, right hook, volume, stamina, closed defense, parrying shots..................Hell, Winky even being defensive was good at cutting the ring off. Like how did you come up with Tim winning this? I'm not even trolling or being an ******* here, I'm dead serious. That's kinda crazy There's a reason why Winky is in the HOF even though he only broke through in his last 6 fights...............
Tim Tszyu has not showed anything that would make him close to competing against a fighter like Winky Wright. Wright would outclass Tszyu.
I am a big fan of Tszyu he is from my neck of the woods. Everything you are saying might be right but I always believe in the guys from Sydney. I think that Tszyu is just getting started and maybe the topic of a fight with Winky Wright will make for better discussion in 5 years time. I believe Tszyu would have shown his potential as an ATG if he got the chance to fight Charlo.
See I can respect that, I don't agree but I can respect it. I don't personally see him getting to the heights his father did, I see solid/sturdy but not otherwordly. I guess we'll both see.
Seems a little premature to be subjecting the likes of Tim Tszyu to a fantasy match-up against a fighter of Winky Wright's calibre. This will demand a more substantive response in 5-6 years time, I should suspect. Bookmarked.
