So was gerrie coetzee, so was primo carnera, so was Bruce seldon. You can be a heavyweight champ and still not lay a glove on Lennox Lewis and get ironed out, Jess Willard was useless, if jack dempsey can annihilate him Lennox Lewis would kill him

Power ? Willard beat a worn down 37 years old Johnson, and it took him 26 rounds to do it who else of any note did he stop? Lewis would beat the living **** out of Willard.

    Francis Ngannou 0-1-0.

    What’s in a record?:D

Of course I was messing re the Bull Young comment.

According to boxrec, I see Mr Young went in with a winning record of 1 before his first fight with Jess.

Thereafter he was KO’d by Willard 3 times.

McVey always picks the modern fighter ;) I don't think he's factored in Willard's farm strength and healthy corn-fed vigour.

I've only (kinda) seen two fights with Jess Willard. Those two fights lead me to believe that Lennox would've completely melted him in less than 3 rounds.

You might also factor in how they killed them.

There are some heavies that Willard would do better than expected against. Maybe smaller guys that didn't have great movement and who let themselves get tied up. Lewis isn't one of them. I'd bet the house on Lennox sending him out on a stretcher.

I strongly disagree with this absurd opinion. It's quite the exaggeration. Willard was a former world champion and a huge guy. There is no way he fails to literally land a single glove on Lewis.

When Lewis uses a heavy uppercut sending Willard's head snapping backwards, chin in the air, Willard would grab Lewis with a glove holding on and squeezing tighter than a vice grip to avoid sinking into the canvas.
