It can't be 15 rounds and also a fight to the death. Unless the loser of the decision gets shot afterwards

Robinson by decision. Hearns would have beat Leonard if his beard was a tad tougher.

Not if Leonard had the power of Ernie Shavers and the reach of Wladimir Klitschko.

I agree but I am not quite sure what point you are trying to make.

At welterweight, I favor Robinson. Not very well specified. Is it 15 rounds, or to the death?
I still favor Robinson, because the only time he was knocked out (relatively speaking) was close to death.

Just seems kind of redundant to point out that Hearns may not have lost to Ray Leonard if he had been someone other than Hearns. :nusenuse:

I honestly don’t recall ever corresponding with you if I’m honest, but assuming that’s true… why would a probable outcome like that upset me?

As for the comment I was replying to as it pertains to this thread, I just don’t think retrospectively applying attributes to fighters to change results is particularly interesting. You can do that with virtually any fighter to alter the course of history. Imagine for a second Ali possessing the power of Foreman, or giving Amir Khan a Hagler-like mandible? It goes on and on.

I am going to make the assumption that you aren’t being petty. I thought my post was pretty self evident but obviously not to everyone. I was inferring that Robinson was like Hearns with a good chin and that the only reason Hearns lost was because his chin let him down, therefore Robinson would decision Leonard. Got it now?
