Seemed to be a lot of tension between Mark Dickinson and Grant Dennis during fight week. This is an eliminator for the English Title at 160. I reckon Dickinson wins on points. That's the 2nd fight of the card so don't miss it.

The card opens with Mackenzie vs Davis as an eliminator for the English Title. This is the best fight of the card. I back Davis to win this one - he is managed by Sunny Edwards.

 

Dreadful, dreadful card with a load of manufactured 'beef' thrown in to the press conference in last minute desperation to sell the show.

I hope they have ordered In lots of extra black fabric curtains in at Newcastle arena - won't be many seats that aren't covered in it tonight.

 

Really poor card.

The quality of Matchroom’s UK cards has fallen off a cliff. I remember Fitzgerald v Cheeseman for the British title being the co-main event a few years ago in Newcastle, now they’ve got a 1-0 fighter as co-main.

 

Dickinson came across very unlikeable this week. Didn't see Dennis even do anything to trigger it. Dickinson seems mentally weak and insecure.

 

According to Eddie Hearn, it's a really good card with some real 50-50 fights

 

Sadly for him no one is buying it for shows like this anymore, outside of the fighters friends & families only a handful of people will be In attendance I doubt many more will bother tuning in.

Said it before, why not just merge some of these shows to make them collectively half decent. There seems to be an obsession to say 'we have a show every week' but whats the point if the quality is so diluted its unwatchable.Shows like the Sunny Edwards London show, Opetaia card, Catterall in Liverpool and this are abysmal and barely shift a ticket. Would of been better off merging those into 1 or 2 shows.

 

Cameron Vuong mouthing off with his opponent and making "sleep" gestures at the weigh in for his second pro fight - that's enough to put me off him.

 

you could mix and match Friday’s card and todays card and not come up with anything worth tuning into

I feel sorry for the Geordies, prospects from the NE are usually busts so there is hardly ever the chance to put on significant cards

 

He’s managed by Sam Jones. Anyone dumb enough to pay Sam Jones actual money in a boxing capacity is clearly lacking in brains so it’s no surprise.
