These Next Gen development cards offered up by any promoter are more and more just date fillers. The idea behind them isn't at all bad but as someone else has said, club a few of them together and make the whole card a lot more appealing.

 

The first one in Newcastle in March was entertaining. Pattinson vs Jenkins was one of the FOTY.

The one in Birmingham on August 19 was pretty poor.

The one today wouldn’t have been bad if McCormack vs Dobson was headlining. The undercard fights were fine - 3 inexperienced prospects against domestic fighters with more experience. Not like they are fighting journeymen.

Good thing that December 2 in Belfast is stacked and December 25 in Dublin has a main event that the whole world will be eagerly anticipating the result of.

Thrilling action in round 4 between French and Ofori. French is cut and looks extremely tired. Ofori may win this.

Really looking forward to it on November 25 but have something planned on that date so may miss it. Hopefully Katie Taylor rights the wrong.

I did say Ofori was a great test for French’s 5th fight. Ofori is on the brink of stopping French.

She was. I meant it was a poor performance from her. Fair play to her for being a true champion and moving up to 140 as an old and aged fighter to fight a younger fighter in her prime.

Again the users on the British Forum have got it wrong slagging today’s card and last weekend’s card off when they were both full of action and exciting.

As I said numerous times this was a great test for French’s 5th fight. We need more strong matchmaking like this for young prospects.

They used to pack Newcastle Arena out with ease with Ritson on Sky.

 

Have you got any proof of this? Narrative fails considering Cordina sold out Cardiff consecutively, Wood sold out Nottingham against Lara in the first fight, and Pattinson vs Jenkins sold more in Newcastle than Ritson vs Davies. Matchroom shows actually do a lot better ticket wise than Queensberry and Boxxer.
