What are you talking about? They do drug testing, one of the fighters was literally pulled from the event because he failed a drugs test. KSI vs Tommy Fury even had VADA testing. Why don’t you have the same energy for Boxxer and Queensberry shows? Boxxer had no VADA testing for a PPV fight in Liam Smith vs Chris Eubank Jr. Matchroom even had VADA testing for low-key fights like Richardson Hitchins vs Jose Zepeda and Diego Pacheco vs Martin Esteban Coceres.
Matchroom can try and save face as much as they like with this new-found stance on drug testing but the way they’ve behaved regarding Benn and continue to do so is abhorrent.
Matchroom pushing for A backroom testing org under uncle Eddie's umbrella Oh eddie dont count your henns cause there never gonna hatch
Seems like Matchroom will have Eubank Jr vs Benn, Ford vs Kholmatov, Munguia vs Ryder, Catterall vs Taylor and Dalton Smith vs Harlem Eubank inside the first 3 months of the year. Would be pleased with that, hopefully they can negotiate a deal with Top Rank to get Catterall vs Taylor over the line.
That is exactly what is exciting. Who dares to take responsibility?...but I know a boxer who were blind in one eye and still approved to box. In this case, it was a golden envelope that put things in place
So December has become January and now January has become February and there is nothing certain about that date either. In reality, nothing has changed, just more wishy washy Hearn b.s. and wishful thinking.
Nothing has changed since Hearn's last non-announcement. That's why the date just keeps slipping away. This is nothing more than Hearn keeping Benn's name in the media while in reality Benn remains in what has now become a self imposed limbo.
No it isn’t because Hearn and Sauerland had a meeting with Daniel Levy to finalise the booking of the Tottenham Hotspur stadium for February 3. They have also booked the Principality Stadium for January 27. It looks like the fight is on and we could hear an announcement within the next 2 weeks. Let’s see.
I'll believe the fight when l see it. Benn needs to take Eubank Snr's advice and 'go and see that good man Mr Smith.'
Does make you wonder what the legal implications would be if Eubank got injured in the fight. Campaigning to get a drugs cheat in the ring based on jurisdiction could back fire. I wouldn't fancy insuring the event either.
The fight won't be unlicensed. They will use PBA as governing body and they will get insurance. If I was Eubank I'd be asking for weekly drug testing paid out of Benns purse I'd be asking for a copy of the NADP judgement I'd be asking for copy of both the WBC and recent report by Benn into his egg consumption
Issue is, that Joe Gallagher interview a while back, "Keep delaying the contracts being signed" the longer you delay it the more you can keep juicing. So the 6 week lead up to the fight probably doesn't matter too much
