    • The biggest, the baddest, the heavyweight sparring champion of the World, Martin Bakole after ducking Hrgovic at least twice over the span of 4 years, gets lifetime opportunity:
      • to be IBF mandatory or/and a guaranted shot against AJ/Wallin - meaning huge money
    • Is Hrgovic insane to go into this kind of risk?
      • he isnt risking his IBF mandatory shot against Usyk in 2024, he is risking his entire career over fighter that was defeated by cruiserweight, now retired Michael Hunter
      • he aint getting no money for this match
      • win against him is worthless
Is Hrgovic confident or foolish like Joyce challenging Zhang or did he just break a fuse, I mean if he was going to risk it all, why not fight Joshua?

EDIT: Boxing Scene reporting that Hrgovic has opponent, 41yo, ranked 300+ Mark de Mori, what the hell happened, did Bakole duck Hrgovic for the third time?

I dont know about that, he dominated Yoka and Takam, though lost by KO to Michael Hunter + he beat Joshua and Usyk in sparring, and we have to take in the fact that nobody wants to get near him from the top 10

I've become a Hrgovic fan in recent years.

The Zhang fight was great. In his last fight, he scored an impressive KO once the referee could pry his hugging opponent off of him.

A Bakole bout would be another excellent matchup for him.

I would expect Hrgovic to break him down and stop him in the latter half of the fight.

Great fight, looking forward to this one and eventually being disappointed when the fight gets called off.

No one's career ends with a defeat, but the hope of fighting for the title ends, Hrgovic and Bakole are not protected like Joshua, who will have an easier way to win the title, Wallin was lured by money and agreed to such a risky fight because he does not care about the title, we will see everything. Hrgovic vs. Bakole is 50-50 and the winner will be decided by whoever has a better day on the day of the fight...

No one's career is getting ended. That's the problem with modern boxing and why these guys don't want to take risks anymore, if they lose one fight they're labelled a bum.

Hrgovic needed 6 years to come up to this position, losing to Bakole would end his career for sure, he will retire because there is no chance to get the belts again.

Hrgovic win that match if it actually happend (dont think soo)
I know that Martin Bakole is very dangerous guy but... He is lazy and became too fat now. His hands still very quick but his feet and stamina...
He show problem with stamina in past. Even in his win vs Yoka when he got him bad wobbled he must go much longer because he dont have stamina to go for finish.
If Yoka will not soo panic and just go back and jab he should last to end Bell.

Hrgovic moving pretty well and he got pretty good stamina. Off course quick hands of Bakole and not best defence of Filip make Croatian man took some shots but he have great chin and should take it well.
Filip will be too active and too quick movement for Martin a special in this shape.

They both 198 cm (6'6") but dont know who got better reach.

For me Filip is favorite 65-35 here. But vote question is wrong. Nobody career end after lost on that level.

Btw this fight is for me excite on same level as Parker vs Wilder and even better than Wallin vs Joshua. If it happend they can "steal the show".

I think that will be main event for sure. At least in true boxing fans hearts, but there is no denying Joshua carrying money.

Don't get the hype about the guy. He barely got past Sergey Kuzmin (I had him losing). I haven't seen anything to suggest that he's more than a fringe top 10 fighter.

Bakole is very beatable but the problem is Hrgovic tends to labor to decision wins and never really wins in emphatic fashion. Beating good contenders like Zhang and Bakole are great but when all your wins are close it makes it hard to build hype for the bigger fights.

I think Hrgovic could be the best of the upcoming crop but this is one of those fights where he really needs to prove it with more than just a close decision, not only to convince the critics, but to keep his current fans interested.
