Now that tells you a lot about the state of the HW division in boxing right now.

I am actually happy for Francis, on the other side it shows indeed where the HW division stands...

Ngannou had really bad luck in the UFC, they made tons of money on his back. I would not mind to see him further fighting in boxing as long as it is not against the ones like Chisora...

Also I am not very surprised anymore with the WBC, their rankings is a joke full of corruption!

That doesn't make any sense. With one fight, and one loss to be ranked HW No.10.
Another question is how much, and whether that defeat is deserved.

Didn't Bob Arum buy Lomachenko a ranking on debut just so he could fight for a world title that he lost, then bought him another ranking and another world title fight he never earned in the ring?

It's money thing mate, nothing to do with the state of a division, and everyone incl. WBC smelled that sweet sweet smell.

I’m happy for the Ngannou but the WBC is on a level with the WBA for levels of corruption. One boxing fight with one loss should never get you ranked in the top 15. I see they are setting up a rematch in the future.

    Exactly this. Lol

Stick his ass in there with Zhang or even Makhmudov and the hype will end. Real quick.

    K1 Kick-Boxing had Bob Sapp.

    UFC had Brock Lesnar.

    Now Boxing has Ngannou.

But the Boxing community needs to be so snobbish about it.

And the thing is Ngannou did good against Fury UNDER BOXING RULES. THEY WERE STILL BOXING!!!!

A way will be found for Ngannou to fight for the title before those who deserve it, and Casual fans will always support something like this...

Yes and Lesnar even made it to be UFC champion. Bob Sapp an American Football player and Lesnar did come from the WWE. And Kick-Boxing and MMA were better with them then without them.

If Ngannou didn’t even win a fight….then how can he embarrass Boxing?

Boxing can use the entertainment. And if he does win fights or even a championship more power to him. He will still be boxing right?

Another good example is auto sports.

Nigel Mansell won the F1 title in 1992 and went to Indycar in 1993 and won the title that year.

Jaques Villeneuve won the Indycar title in 1995 and almost won the F1 title in his first year in 1996. Then won the F1 title in 1997.

Mario Andretti won title in both Indycar and F1 as well.

It only leads to more excitement and a storyline that people can tune into.

It didn’t subtract from either sport either. It only proves the exceptional talent of the athlete involved.

The man is an absolute tank isn't he? I was flabergasted by his rock solid hard muscles the sheer size of the man is enough to petrify any of his opponents.

I don't completely hate this. But I am still morbidly curious how Ngannou can be against other top 10 HWs.
