Then he got trounced vs Shane, annihilated vs. Cotto, and beaten beyond recognition by Pac.

That's not a natural decline; that's Cinderella's stage coach turning into a pumpkin.

 

Can you not read? That happens with guys his style. It's not made for the long run. The last fight Fernando Vargas looked like a top killer was against Oscar. And he was busted for PEDS. Does that mean to you El Feroz was ALWAYS on PEDS? Dude was essentially washed up before age 30.

Like I said, which you clearly didn't bother to read, Margarito was looking like the guy who beat Cotto the first fight in their rematch before the beating got to him and Cotto stopped him. And that was AFTER the Mosley and Pac fights. I guess you believe he was allowed the wraps in the cotto rematch?

The guy that beat Cotto was getting beaten up until that plaster hardened and Cotto's face turned into a swollen, bloody mess.

Vargas didn't look like a top killer against Trinidad, Wright, or even Shibata Flores, who had wobbled him badly right before the DLH fight.

My original post got deleted so i can't even muster up what i wrote all over again but in simpler words yes that's the sport & a lot of times the guy that gets robbed ends up with the consensus that he in deed lost that fight even though for a about a week or so the fans were in up roar & then years later they just end up caving & repeat the same words of the judges, that's brainwash & it happens almost every time no matter the fighter.

The Cotto 2 match was only accepted by Cotto when he kinew Tony's eye was permanently damaged & he thought he could target the eye & beat him. Well I was ringside for that fight& know that Margarito couldn't see out of that eye from early in round two & both the ref & doctor knew it. Cotto still couldnt beat an opponent who was blind in one eye thanks to a Cotto foul. It wasn't till Cotto started running out of gas AGAIN!! & Tony was beating his chest at him saying C'mon lets fight !!!! that that crooked NY doc stopped the fight. Not to save Tony's eye, it was too late for that, but to save Cowardly Cotto the embarrassment of QUITTING AGAIN!!!!!!!!! on his knees like the coward he was first time. beaten by an opponent with only one good eye
I was also in Dallas Texas at the Pac fight & heard Pac say after the fight " I was very lucky to survive & to win. I have never been hit so hard Margarito was too big & too strong." That was just before he collapsed in pain from his damaged ribs & was taken off to the hospital. He spent the night laying like a new born baby .all hunched up. Ask him if he thought Margarito punched hard still.

Only thing is Loma just should have put down on the pedestal especially the last few rounds he should have known by now how the system works i don't know way his team doesn't instill it inside his head even though he isn't the young volume puncher anymore he should just put out more concentrated attacks filling in those gaps of rounds where both fighters did near the same amount,

But again i will have to go back & watch it when i get free to get a clear picture.

Feel free to watch the rematch again. Cotto's face didn't get bloody because it was that time of the month. He was still getting tagged a lot just like in the first fight.

 

The bans are a mystery at times. I do believe that if a mod does ban a member he ought to tell him why, if its not obvious like silly behavior. Just a PM would be sufficient. At least you'd know not to do it again LOL

 

It was going to end up same as fight 1 Cotto was ready to quit AGAIN!! The doc stopped the fight to save him the embarrassment. Really Margarito beat Quitto with one good eye & definitely no plaster excuse lol Tony was never going to quit
