    Gone under the radar.

An incredibly underwhelming bout against Chris Thompson.

Hopefully he can start getting ranked opponents after this.

Yep been a pro for 5 and 1/2 years but Kamil Sokolowski is probably his best opponent.

Yet another talent going to waste with terrible promotion.

He should be on the Saudi card on 23rd. Not walking drug cabinets like Miller.

Jalolov would be an excellent opponent for Hrgovic because both of them have problems finding opponents...

I am thinking of starting my amateur career. Since he loves the amateurs, perhaps Jalalov and i can fight each other soon.

I'm all for Jalolov getting bigger fights - but this one won't happen.

Right now Hrgovic's team has him "parked" because he's the IBF mandatory challenger for the Fury v. Usyk winner.

Of course, that's not a true guarantee because he will be forced to step aside if there is a rematch and we long ago learned that Fury is not...."agreement-capable". Nobody really knows when the *first* Fury v. Usyk fight will happen.

But until there is more clarify Hrgovic's people will take no chances and "et voila" - we have Hrgovic fighting De Mori...

TopRank snapped up Jalolov because they can strand him for a bit to prevent him from destroying investments they have made (as well as their promotional partners) in other HW fighters.

I wouldn't have called this a fight. Thompson folded from the first punch that landed. Lining up opponents that offer no resistance is a complete waste. He is what , 29 now? He should be fighting someone better that Thompson.

Isn't he going to the Olympics again next year?

Yes, but there's a whole line of HW contenders ahead of him who need to be properly-cashed out before he gets his chance.

And the never-ending tango between Fury and Usyk isn't helping that run its course any faster.

That’s the promoters job. Hell I’m not even talking top 15. Within top 30. There are plenty of guys within this range that are also looking for that break out fight.

The promoter's job is to make investments in fighters and maximize them. If a promoter has multiple fighters in a weight class in his stable, he's constantly evaluating who gets what opportunity based on their relative career stages. That's why Jalolov is more or less on a shelf.

If there are plenty of guys in the top-30 who want to test Jalolov right now - then please name them because I can't think of any who have issued a challenge.

If you think he couldn't get a better fight than Thompson there really isn't much more we can say.

I wonder if Jalolov is going to his third Olympics in Paris? He went to the IBA World Championships this year but that was held in Uzbekistan & featured significant prize money. Will be interested to see if he goes for another gold in Paris. If not, the tournament's wide open for someone to make a name for themselves.
